LG 60PS8000 color changing vertical line

    Hi there

2 weeks ago our 60PS8000 developed a color changing vertical line.
It's almost in the middle of the screen.
The color it has depend on the picture on the tv. Picture red - line blue, picture blue - line red. If there are several colors on tv the line also has more than 1 color. On the picture you can hopefully see what i am trying to explain.

What can it be? Is it the panel like i read several times or is there anything i can do?

    Thank you

Looks like the panel itself is faulty. Unlikely to be bad connection between the panel and buffer board because the line is very thin

      Thanks

The line is just 1 line of pixels wide. Until now it runs like this, no other problems or other lines appearing.

Edit: Forgot to mention it: The 60PS8000 is a plasma TV.

Yes single-pixel lines are a very bad sign, could be the cof on the relevant panel ribbon. You could disassemble it to that point and have a look - but don't run the set without the long metal bracket (heatsink) in place or it will kill the cof's in short order.

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
              by mrsith
              Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
              by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

              Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

              Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
              by TrueSword88
              Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

              Hoping to fix...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
              by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 w/ large vertical lines & no picture
              by srs
I'm not sure what to do next and came here since y'all helped me fix a 50" plasma TV back in 2014, which is still working!

A friend gave me an Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 50" TV that suddenly developed large vertical lines on it. He said he had no idea what might have caused it and has replaced it with a larger TV. He was going to throw it away.

I did not notice any bulged or leaking caps on any board, the voltages produced by the power supply match the voltage that the pins are marked. The backlight leds are working. I have tried cleaning the ribbon cables...
