Vizio E701ia3 No Video
Customer submitted this nice Viziuhoh to me yesterday and he claimed he had a red blood like run in the middle of the screen (6" from bottom ) and he quickly turned off. The TV came with no display after and only sound was heard on all inputs. He replaced the Tcon with no change. I purchased a main just as an outside chance it could be but that too to no avail. I have heard these have panel issues and when testing the screen boards I noticed the right side kept giving me short readings on the caps. Would it be feasible to change those caps or is this a lost cause? I also thought of purchasing a Tcon myself and only hook up the left side which appears to be fine ( no shorts are present ). I think he either received a bad Tcon or the screen itself is a goner. There are no voltages past the Tcon. The problem is..did he buy a bad Tcon, did the screen take out the Tcon or something else? Thanks for any input and I would put pics but didn't see where any was needed but if you have interest, please let me know and I will be happy to do so.

I have the same model set in my shop now. 12 volts on t-con, no heat on any IC's replaced t-con, and main. NO change. I called Sharp as this is a Sharp panel, ( I am authorized Sharp service) they said panel have customer call consumer relations. ??? NO way of finding the actual defective component? IF you find what is on the panel that is causing this please let me know.

Re: Vizio E701ia3 No Video
Just found this Kevinjo<
VIZIO recently issued a statement with new information that in a small percentage of units with serial numbers in the ranges of LFTRNWAN3800001 to LFTRNWAN4805300 for Model E601i-A3 and LFTRNXAN4500001 - LFTRNXAN4702936 for Model E701i-A3, users may experience a loss of video on the display although audio can still be heard. This potential issue appears to occur typically around the first 500 hours of usage or first few months of normal usage and does not present a safety concern.
If you have a VIZIO E-Series 60” or 70” TV with a serial number that falls within the ranges of LFTRNWAN3800001 to LFTRNWAN4805300 for Model E601i-A3 and LFTRNXAN4500001 - LFTRNXAN4702936 for Model E701i-A3 and experience a loss of video, please call VIZIO’s Customer Care team toll free at 855-209-4106 or email us at: special.bulletin@vizio.com to directly reach our dedicated service team who will assist in resolving your issue as quickly as possible.
Aside from the small number of units within the serial numbers ranges of LFTRNWAN3800001 - LFTRNWAN4805300 for Model E601i-A3 and LFTRNXAN4500001 - LFTRNXAN4702936 for Model E701i-A3, there are no other VIZIO products that use this component. See our official statement at:
