    New to the forum but hopefully someone can help me. I have TH-50PZ85U that is 8 years old. Bought it with the black vertical line problem. Was told that it happened about three months ago. As it seems everyone has suggested that I find the ribbon connector that is directly in line with the black line and I did. I removed the ribbon cable and cleaned the connector and ribbon cable with alcohol and a Q tip and reinstalled the cable and not change. I removed the ribbon cable once again and powered up the TV. This confirmed that I had the right ribbon connector and the top half of the line changed to horizontal thin black lines and the bottom half went to what I call snow. I reconnected the cable and everything returned to a solid black vertical line. Can anyone suggest where I should go from here. Is it a bad panel, is it the circuit board that the ribbon connector is connected to or is it another board? I hope someone can provide some suggestions as I don't want to scrap the TV just yet.

                Hello,

                I've acquired a 65" Panasonic TC-P65ST50 for free from someone while purchasing another TV for repair from them. I've repaired ~10 LCD TVs over the years with decent success, and I enjoy doing it. However this is my first attempt at a plasma, and I'm treading carefully.

                The TV when I got it would power up, however the left ~5 inches of the display was entirely black, basically like a letterbox image would appear. I disassembled, looked up some info, and determined that it was likely either dirty/loose connectors between the panel and the C buffer boards...

                good evening!!! I have this tv with a line that occupies 1 or 2 pixels in width. it has a solution? Can you do a test to find out if it's a panel or something else? Having the tcon integrated into the panel makes everything difficult. I have pushed on the flex attached to the panel, on both sides and there are no changes. I don't know what else I can do... the integrated ones that go on the flex get hot, but without burning yourself if you put your finger on it. to see if someone can help me. I attached a detail photo of the line. Thanks in advance...

                Hello!

                On my Panasonic TX-PR65VT60 plasma, flickering pixels (or subpixels) run uniformly on completely black areas of the image or on a completely black screen (for example, an image with completely black areas, black fill, or hdmi, AV input without a signal). This can be clearly seen in complete darkness at close range, and is very similar to how it is shown in these videos:

                I repeat that this happens only in completely black areas, otherwise there are no complaints about the image and the operation...

                Hi,

                I have a Panasonic TX-P42S20E plasma TV that lately has been showing flashing pink pixels when the picture is bright (similar to picture 5 in this post), primarily on the top half but to a lesser degree in the buttom half.

                I've tried to change VSUS to high but it made the issue even worse so changed it back.

                However, this is all a backstory as yesterday after being on for about 5 minutes the screen turned black. I've tried to hard reset (hold power on tv for 30 sec).

                When turned on the green LED flashes 6 times and then stays on continously....

                Hi all.

                I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
                The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

                The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

                Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.


                Hoping to fix...
