Re: Panasonic TH-P50U30A SC Board TNPA5351 AF failure

I have a Fluke 115 and it was set on ohm m. I pulled all mosfets Q403,Q402, Q423,Q422 and the two diodes D401 and D421 tonight. I'm going to check the resistors. Tw2005 I was asking what was the finished ohm reading when the board was fixed. I know 2.784mohm means there is not a short that and the reading was after replaced the mosfets.

you did not write Mohm, hence my question. sounds about right, 3meg sticks in my mind

I can only go with the info i read so I was unsure but sounds like it might be on track. I've done 1 of these boards and was very relieved and happy with just 4 igbts to get it going. I got more experience with thw 2010 5081 and they're never that easy.

hard to give 100% green light but if you've probed every smd igbt and diode and nothing else is shorted and those resistors are fine it might be worth the gamble.
Fet drivers are the only other things to watch for, not sure how to tell with these as they use different devices than in the past ( 8 pin I believe)

and those tiny 5 pinn smd transistors usually near those drivers (3Y)

Yes, same issues that are in the repair kit on jimmy. It was a one of the hardest to remove the mosfets and diodes but its working once again and hopeful sold too fixed the gounding pads too. I changed the voltage going to the boards to 213v and let the tv run for a week. I found a good board reads in the 5 ohms on the high voltage plug.

what do you mean? 5 ohms across SC2?

I don't know if it the 216v wires that plug into the SC board have a name, but put the mutlimeter in ohms and neg - to gound and + to the pins of the board one read should close to zero and one should get a ohm read around 5 is what I found.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                          Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                          by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                          by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

Hi everyone, newcomer in this forum, i watched tons of video from Sorin, i like the way i calmly explain things, i did quite some console repair, i am not that bad at micro-soldering, but troubleshooting where the issue is, is definitely where i still have progress to make. Usually i was able to fix the console because the failure was obvious, or because i was able to find someone with similar measures on the board and was pinpointing what to replace that way.
Nevertheless, let's say, i don't come as a total beginner.
I have this old laptop, which suit perfectly my needs, with the...
