I'm reading this part budm. (there is a green led that lights on mainboard, also the spdif led shows red, after about 5 mins relay clicks off green led on mainboard and red spdif led go out, all the time red led on front stays on.....
press power button on switch panel relay clicks front led goes green and then turns red again after 5mins (approx) and that is all its doing, tried disconnecting inverters and makes no difference).

Well a green light means the motherboard is getting power from 5v stand by to turn on the 12v etc if the 24v is not there I would say there is a issue with the power supply or inverter.
I'm still thing something is not working right on the burn side of the board. The remote idea is to rule out if the buttons are not working. Because the other boards online don't have that mark there on them and they are used boards.Last edited by jeffecor; 11-20-2015, 01:25 PM.Leave a comment:

Have you looked to see if any of the bulbs are bad or put it in a dark room to see if it try's to turn on the back light? Take flashlight to the screen when its on to if there anything on the screen and just no backlight? try that and report backLeave a comment:

Yeah it sucks now the panel is junk just part it out since the picture did work just flicker every time it would spark at the hole in the ribbon and recycle the screen plastics of it.
But I did get 3d glass in the box and remote etc with it.

Tom on here has service manuals [url]http://www.toms-service-manuals.com/[/url] maybe he has one for it. By the there looks like a burn mark on your power supply take a picture of that spot. So I pick up this TV the screen the image flickers. After playing it I noticed that the 12v drops the same time the image flicker. I'm wondering would a bad filter cap sent dirt power causing the issue with the panel?... -

So I picked this TV up in a deal of 5 broken working TVs.<--aka recycling place for 60 dollars for all.
The problem with this TV it would turn on as soon as i plugged it in with black-lights, but no picture.
After playing around I order the main board thinking maybe the eeprom issue. Well got the board yesterday same
issue after digger around some more I found a fuse on the panel was bad. The turning on issue was someone had the ribbon cable to the power button upside down causing the TV to turn on.
I start looking for shorts on that board... -

Okay now I understand why no ones been repairing this motherboard. My motherboard is missing 3.3v so I'm going change the ic5000 once it gets here.
I have not tried reballing a chip yet because I don't want to test it on any of my motherboards. I guess its time to buy some old computer video card and motherboard for reballing test.

I have the same board trying to fix too.. My board has not signs of life no red led stand by. That's why I'm try to figure out how test the board to fix and I posted a thread here no one answered. But From what other forums I have read the IC5000 just above the processor takes the 5v stand by and makes the 3.3v for the motherboard without it the board well not power up. I would download the service manual its helping on the test points for volts.

Panasonic tc-p42x3 mainboard issues
I pick up Panasonic Tc-p42x3. I found a short on the sn but the TV has no red led in the front. So I had a 50inch motherboard I hooked the board up with the connection that was the same to see if it would do any thing with the sn and sc unplugged. It turn on all my voltages are good coming from the power supply.
So reading around on a few post it common for the motherboard to short out but I wondering if anyone has fixed one and where to test on it?

Vizio E420i-A1 question
Okay so I picked it up yesterday for 30 dollars and total me it was broken in the message he said Hi I have a 42 in Visio LED. No cracks the picture just goes out and all I see is black screen. If I unplug it for a while it well show but them randomly might go out.
The TV was dirt so I clean the screen/TV and plugged it in then connected the fire stick it turn and run fine all last night for 7 hour and turn this morning just fine too. It update the firmware today too.

yes they do have Broken TV's too I buy a lot from them. I was thinking about steal all the board out of them with broken screen. I guess.. I can take the easy way out lol

Is there away to convert a computers power supply over be adjustable on the volts and amps? I know there is the 3.3v and 12v in the computer but the amp are high on some of those lines.

I have been wondering about building adjustable power supply for bench testing on TVs. I don't want to spent a ton of money in a high end power supply.
I go to a recycling place every weekend they have a ton of computer/severs parts and cheap.
So what would be the best setup/build for testing TVs? -

I don't know if it the 216v wires that plug into the SC board have a name, but put the mutlimeter in ohms and neg - to gound and + to the pins of the board one read should close to zero and one should get a ohm read around 5 is what I found.Leave a comment:
