I have a samsung television that turns on and displays a picture but the picture is pink and green. I'm thinking the main board is going bad, but they are pretty expensive on ebay. Is there a component on the main board that I could replace?

Re: samsung LN40530P1F image is pink and green
Yep, another bad AS19 (similar to AS15) GAMMA IC U7, I hope you do have tools to do SMD repair.

You can verify by checking and report the DC Voltage readings on the test pads of GAMMA Voltages from 1 ~17.

#3, #4, #7 are bad, the numbers should gradually go up.
tom66 has spread sheet that you can fill in the numbers and see the graph, I do not know where that thread is right now.Last edited by budm; 11-13-2014, 05:20 PM.Never stop learning

by Asraf AtbHi everyone,
Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.
Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.
I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....1 Photo -
by JSin21Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;
I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01
Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...4 Photos -

by jimjoe123I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.
Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.
Then each time... - Loading...
