    Technika 32-270 Vertical 4" Line

I purchased this Technika 32-270 from a lady as faulty. She explained that when she split with her ex he tore the power cable from the back of the tv. I replaced the power cable that plugs in internally(not a kettle lead) and the tv worked but I noticed this fault with an approx 4" vertical line running from top to bottom just off center.
Can anyone confirm my worst fears that it is a tab problem on the panel itself, or could it be a T-Con problem?

Looks like a tab bond problem to me, but you could always try reseating the lvds cable
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Thanks for the reply selldoor. I've already tried reseating the lvds cable with no difference.
Does a tab problem make this unrepairable? No chance it's T-con?

Bad LCD panel in my opinion. Can try tabs - rarely successful on individual area faults though.

Since it's a Vestel, the PSU and main board are probably worth about £15-20 each.

                Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
                by TrueSword88
                Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

                Hoping to fix...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
                by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
                by mrsith
                Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

VIZIO M60-C3 Can the vertical line be fixed?
                by tmhobadcap
I am trying to help my friend to fix his Vizio tv with a vertical line on the screen. The line is on the right side. It is blue/purple on the right side starting from the top. But it only goes to about 3/4 of the screen height (not to the bottom of the screen). It is very obvious when the screen is dark and it is hard to be seen when the screen is bright. Please help....
