    Need an oscilloscope

Can someone please tell me what bandwidth of a scope will work for consumer electronics repair? Will a 25-30MHZ work?

Not good for TV. Good for audio circuits but really need higher
    For checking SMPS

I disagree. I've used 20MHz for SMPS repair fine. Maybe not so much if you were building them, but still useful for debugging. I currently use 100MHz scope, which is enough to just about resolve LVDS detail on data lines.
