        'STB' is the PS_ON pin.

You can use 100~500 resistor between stb and the 5V, but you must have the STB wire that goes back to the main board disconnected otherwise the main board will keep that low and not allow the STB to go HI.
Since this power supply board has PFC Voltage booster, you need to check the DC Voltage RIGHT AT THE TWO LEGS OF THAT BLACK MAIN FILTER CAP (THE 450Vdc RATING), it should have about 170VDC when TV is plugged in but not turned on, then it should jump to about 360~400Vdc when PS_ON is applied, you must have this boosted Voltage before trying to fix anything else.

Okay, I put a 100ohm resister between stb and 5v and all the voltages on the connector were there, i also had 16v on xp803, so i guess i got a bad main board from shopjimmy?

                    Hisense TV 40A5600F Dead - Wan't start
                    by sandrabrnelic
When powered on LED goes red indicating standby.
After pressing the power button LED blinks 6 or 7 times, i don't know do i need to count last led blinking because it's faster then previous 6 and remain's lit and in standby again. Nothing is visible on the screen, backlight is off all the time. All caps on board are looking visualy OK. 12V is present. Anyone has service manual or schematic for this TV or any ideas what could 6 blinks code mean.

Main board is RSAG7.820.9867, power supply is on same board.

Update: I think backlight is dead because voltage on backlight...

Dell XPS 9570 Possible Dead PCH???
                    by TheDando
Hey Guys I've been working on this this Dell XPS 9570 for a good while now but I believe that the PCH is dead. I didn't wanna really jump the gun and just buy one immediately so I thought I would be reach out and see what the community on Bad Caps thinks of it. I bought this laptop broken in the hopes of repairing it but when I opened it up it was worse that I had initially imagined. There we're 3 mosfets in the front of the board that we're damaged as well as one more on the back that had blown up and damaged multiple layer of the board. And to add insult to injury the ISL chip next to it had...

Can I Swap Screens Between Two Hisense 75” QLED TVs?
                    by ShahZaib Ghumman
                    Hey folks,

I'm not a professional, but I do have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronic repairs.

A friend of mine recently bought a brand new Hisense 75” 4K QLED Smart TV (75E7NQTUK) but unfortunately, he cracked the screen just a few days later. Luckily, he had insurance and got a replacement right away but weirdly enough, the insurance company never asked for the broken unit back.

So, I took it off his hands and figured I'd try to repair it myself rather than see it go to waste. I've been searching for a replacement screen but can't...
