HP ENVY 2-in-1 15-fe0053dx Bios/TBT Charges at 5v
Hey guys I've been working on a HP ENVY 2-in-1 15-fe0053dx that had a dead EC chip. I've replaced the chip but the laptop only pulls 5v at 0.07amps.At this point I believe I need to reflash the Bios and possibly the TBT rom.

Black screen nothing happening no keyboard lights. I tried another Bios I found and that didn't work either but gave me a beep code 2 long 2 short (BIOS corruption) and the keyboard lit up but that's all....Leave a comment:

Sorry I'm quite amateurish when it comes to laptop diagnostics could you guide me through the power sequence for this laptop? As for the the IC (a ISL 88738HRTZ) it is described by intersil as a "Buck-Boost NVDC Battery Charger" so I don't think its responsible for the PCH power. Also if the IGPU is damaged would that be the end for this laptop or could I force it to use the dedicated GPU all the time. Thanks for the help so far it is appreciated....Leave a comment:
