Sorry I'm quite amateurish when it comes to laptop diagnostics could you guide me through the power sequence for this laptop? As for the the IC (a ISL 88738HRTZ) it is described by intersil as a "Buck-Boost NVDC Battery Charger" so I don't think its responsible for the PCH power. Also if the IGPU is damaged would that be the end for this laptop or could I force it to use the dedicated GPU all the time. Thanks for the help so far it is appreciated....

Dell XPS 9570 Possible Dead PCH???
Hey Guys I've been working on this this Dell XPS 9570 for a good while now but I believe that the PCH is dead. I didn't wanna really jump the gun and just buy one immediately so I thought I would be reach out and see what the community on Bad Caps thinks of it. I bought this laptop broken in the hopes of repairing it but when I opened it up it was worse that I had initially imagined. There we're 3 mosfets in the front of the board that we're damaged as well as one more on the back that had blown up and damaged multiple layer of the board. And to add insult to injury the ISL chip next to it had...

Dell XPS 9570 Blown ISL88738 Trace Repair
Hey Guys I've got XPS 9570 with a blown isl chip that caused a lot of damage and I'm kinda having a tough time fixing it. I tried using 0.10mm wire to rebuild the traces but they ended up not taking solder very well making it difficult to solder the chip on with hot air.Any advice on how to rebuild solid nice traces? Many thanks {"data-align":"none","data-size":"small","data-attachmentid"...

Yea I'm thinking its probably a faulty screen but just wanted to try and be safe in ruling out little things like the screen connector. In the image attached I ended up buying a screen connector prior the making this post and trying that out which is the connector that's giving me the "glitchy" image. The only difference to the original connector that I see is that the locking tab folds backwards not to the front but I doubt that would cause any issues like this.1 Photo

MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 Screen Connector
Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds. So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...
