    VIZIO VX42LHDTV10A...no sound

    I have replaced the output ic (U31) but I still have nothing. All else works fine. I have tried to trace down the audio path, but the print is really a joke. I have Vcc on the 2 inputs from an outline of the IC (TDA8946AJ). I have nothing on the scope at the L/R inputs, but I can touch the inputs using the old wet-finger method, and I get a hum, so it seems that the IC is working. .....one thought, though; there is a regulator Q27 that reads:
    I=11.58V
    o=12.2V
    Adj.=12.2V
    I need to work on my crossing/ subbing skills, but I can't find this part number anywhere on the net. The number on this reg. is C5886. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated. I just can't seem to get anywhere with this one. I know the voltages on this regulator are not right, but I don't know how to proceed with the toilet-paper schematics from Vizio.
    Also, I know some of these used a separate power supply for the audio, but this one doesn't have a stand-alone smps unless someone b4 me has really got me and good!

    TIA

    Do you get Audio output at the Red and White RCA jacks? Can we also see the pictures of your main board and the Q27?
