I know this post is old. I've worked on a lot of these Whirlpool boards. You can diagnose these on you r bench - just apply 120V to input connector. Green LED should come on solid after boot up. 5V and 13V is the voltage that the board needs to light up the green LED. If the green LED is lit - the whirlpool proprietary chip can still be bad. What usually happens when no sign of power is the drain pump shorts out and then fries the control board. I'm sure there has been many repairmen that replace the control board without checking the drain pump and fries another control board. This washer...

That's exactly the way I removed the screen. After doing that though I realized that removing the black bezel with the screen still attached would be much easier and then you don't have to clean the 3mm tape off both surfaces and re-attach new 3mm tape. Has anyone tried this method ?

just a heads up on this set - extremely hard to get display apart as this is a glued display screen onto a black plastic bezel. In my opinion - not worth fixing. This can easily turn into a 3 hour repair !

first of all - this refrigerator has a control bd that drives an inverter board that controls the compressor. The voltage coming from the inverter bd driving the compressor is 80 - 230 VAC. 1. test the compressor windings - should ohm out all the same. If all the same ohms between the 3 pins - compressor is probably good. 2. test the control bd by testing for 4V-6V volts going to the input of the inverter board - this is the voltage that drives the inverter board to put DC voltage to the compressor. Also test for 120 VAC going into the inverter bd. If no 4 VDC - 6 VDC voltage going to the inverter...Last edited by ajshoe; 10-01-2024, 08:09 PM.

LC-60E79U backlights come on - bad video
Have a SHARP LC-60E79U LCD tv that powers on with distorted video and backlights on. Is this T-CON bad or possibly PWB not supplying voltage to it ? Haven't taken back off - thought someone might have seen this problem before....

after searching for new edge led strip, no parts available - seems this company is defunct now. scrapping tv. NOT WORTH FIXING. anyone need main or PWB, let me know.

LeEco L554UCNN no display
Looking for someone that possibly has worked on one of these Intertek sets. L554UCNN super 4 X55 LED tv. set turns on - -no display. backlights seem to light up but not fully. Also set will not turn off after turning it on with remote. measured CN8601 and CN8602 led connectors.
CN8601 has 82 V and CN8602 has 27.4 volts. thats between pins 2 - 8 on the connector. Its very hard to get to the pins as its double sided. using a flashlight - nothing on screen. feels like LEDs are bad ? is there a schematic available to see LED pinout ?
update - after examining the led conns (CN8601...6 PhotosLast edited by ajshoe; 01-13-2024, 08:30 AM.

Re: Vizio D55-F2 backlights won't turn on
many vendors are confused on this main board. Have to go by the bar code as this is where the part # for the main board is. 75500w01b001 is for the 65" version - 75500w01c001 is the 55" version. The 75500W01C001 will not work in the 65" version as 4 of the 16 led strips will not be lit.

Re: vizio E60-E3 backlights, sound, no video
your post #6 states to unplug TCON cables - you didn't read post #1 cause I did unplug TCON cables to display and test. Again the display tabs on the bottom are bonded to the board. so I'm still at a loss at what your asking. The only way to fix this set was to remove the LEFT side tabs. I did this and the set is repaired.Last edited by ajshoe; 04-09-2023, 09:55 AM.

I did unhook Tcon ribbon cables 1 at a time - read first post.

Re: vizio E60-E3 backlights, sound, no video
I looked at the buffers at the bottom of the set - they are not connectors - they are bonded onto the board. Not worth removing display screen to check for bad caps or burn areas. I then made a executive decision and removed left side tabs (they removed very easily with pulling) and powered up set - perfect picture. Another tv saved from the dumpster...

Re: vizio E60-E3 backlights, sound, no video
from reading all the posts on this issue - my right side of screen is good picture with left cable removed from TCON board from front of tv - all posts say to remove left side tabs from side of tv will restore the picture.

Re: Is this screen cracked?
posting this without a model # and asking for help ? screen is definitely cracked. Odd - yes but tv is still use-able. depends what your using it for. Not fixable
