    Xbr-65A1E Sony OLED

Got this Sony. Wouldn't turn on. Wouldn't show indicator light. Checked PSU. Voltages seemed to be correct. Suspected main board EMMC. Pulled the chip off and it tested completely fine.. never put the chip back on. Friend had another board for this TV that he believed to be working. Plugged it in. Still nothing. No indication. Started probing around some more and found the main board has a connector going off to somewhere.. I can't see where as there is so much crap to take off (very weirdly designed tv) the connector has no markings for what it is. See video. I disconnect this connector and hit power and lo and behold I have sound and hear the tv. I test the points with and without connector and the voltage is fluctuating crazily.

Any idea what may be causing this or more info I can show you to help figure it out.

Oddly enough, the voltage still fluctuates but now the TV is nonstop blinking red/white. Not a number of blinks just continuously blinks. Suggestions?

Edit... And now it turned on and still continues to blink red. Took a long time to turn on. Will update back

      Latest update. https://youtu.be/5Bti_Is_2Wo?feature=shared

When I first lifted the TV these patterns were not there. Then I put the tv up and this shows up. That voltage on the main still fluctuates..

      Anyone know what this is?

Will it allow a factory reset and software update? Sometimes the update will work for certain problems.

Probably need to do an update/re-pair each time a mainboard is replaced.

It stays on a random amount of time. One time I got it to software update through wifi. It updated and says no more updates. It also says it's a 55 board and I'm using a 65. I have updated before with USB and it works but it won't update at all through USB . And it keeps shutting off.

maybe check the coils on the mainboard for the usual voltages 5, 3.3, 1.8 etc.

I do have this also. Usbs also have 5v.

I haven't seen this very methodical green pattern and makes me think it's a component rather than the panel.. but shutting off makes me think that also. I just don't know. I always have bad bad luck with OLEDs. They seem to just die on me. Probably 50/50 with them
