samsung LN-T3253H no picture red standby light

Ok so I bought this tv for 20 bucks
The previous owner said he turned it on heard a fizzle and it went black

I took the back cover off and inspected the boards
With power on to the tv I can hear the psu board humming
But when I inspected closer I found some burned components (see pics)

Not sure if something crawled in there and shorted stuff out or an actual component failed

But I guess I will order these parts and hopefully it will fix the problem

I just need help identifying the blue component and possibly the 2 fets on the heat sinks

I think I can find the resistor and cap on digikey

Should I replace any other components?

I removed the large cap and whatever fried it looks like it sprayed toward the fets and under the heat sink

Im not sure if they are good but I will test them out of circuit

I just need to remember how to test them

That is due to bad brown glue that become conductive, that blue high voltage cap is probably shorted out. First thing to do is to remove ALL those glue first (you can use Alcohol to soften them first), then clean off those black carbon, then check the resistors, MOSFET's, transistors around those burnt area.

Do I remove all the brown glue from every component?

Yes. It is also corrosive so it will eat away component's leads.

I found all of the components that were in the vicinity of the burn

I am going to remove the large cap, the 2 blue caps, one resistor, one IC and the 2 mosfets

is there any other components I should remove and test?

So as I was removing the crappy glue from every component I came across what looks like another cap (see pic)
Looks like it shorted out as well

That is the in rush current limiter, it is probably OK, just remove the glue and see if the legs are corroded by the glue or not, it should have a resistance between 3~5 Ohms range.

I tested the resistor (gold, silver, red, red bands) and I thinks it's bad
I don't get any reading when I set my meter to ohms

I am just going to order these components to be on the safe side

I am having a hard time finding some of these components on the digikey website

I need help finding the blue caps, black cap, and the optisolator

I found the mosfets, large cap and resistor need help on the other stuff

Just give the list of the part designators, then we can look at the SCH to see if the values match the color codes and the printings of the parts you removed.

I get 6.8 ohms

OK, I will look at the SCH and see what they are per diagram, but I still need to see if the printing or color codes on the parts matched the diagram or not in case they have done some updates to the board you have. If you can read the printings on the part if they are not badly damaged, that will help.
