clean them.. the black spots . but be careful as they are dry now... this set have many issue resulted with LVDS cable... but you need to repair the LED BL... and check the 4 ribbon cable too from both side to clean them..
PFC from Main SoC stoped working because of error on LED BL.. so no signal go to T-CON. only VCC 12V will be on T-CON... this condition are the same when we testing the T-CON & Panel as standalone... EGB pattern will show.
MB cant captured .. because this action only need JTK Module from LG.
on MB you have eePROM and eMMC, the eePROM sending the start so you have Power ON ... and tthe rail of 13V will be provided to Panel T-CON via IC1100 ... so every things sound good..
this why i wrote don't Touch the MB unless you repair the LED BLComment

Oh my god... that's incredible..
1) i see what the user shows me, i saw 2 boards on picture, i thought it had only 2 boards also because of the 2 Twins lvds ribbons output, i cannot know every hundreds tv models in the world! User Diah must calm with its words, i have never hamed a tv.
2) It's fool to dismantle Cyclope's tv for the doubt of bad backlight, and i do not see any sign of that, much more safe and easy to do the test i have already said, 2 minutes test!
3) I have never seen in long hobbist career a tv set that enables tcon power but not tcon input data due to bad BL and no BL, that is nonsense words, some people lives only to be present on a forum and shots their s*itting everywhere..
4) Tcon auto test not called is a common fault and can depend, for me, by many reasons including bad tcon (most common), but in this case with no BL it belongs more to a bad main board case, so post a decent (much light) picture of tcon, i guess a Monster tv have power source directly from power board, this could explain why tcon is fed by power but without data, MB can turn on power but software doesn't provide data, 3 blinks spy led can tell standby software is working but not full software..
5) Power board has no clear feedback pin to MB for BL working state, so i guess software can't stop due to BL issues, there is a mistery pin MS that is more common back light activation (always present in every tv)Last edited by Davi.p; 01-17-2025, 11:40 PM.Comment

by nubinatorHello I have TCL 65S4 and it has no backlight, seems common problem on this tv to have bad LED's. I have no tester though I thought I could just test each LED with 2xAA batteries for 3v but it doesnt light up at all?
I saw a vid with LED tester on this TV and it had 130v for 1 good line which is 24 LEDs does that mean it needs around 5.5v per LED? -
by tmhobadcapI got the TV from a friend. He claims that no image but sound from the TV.
I confirmed that when shine a flashlight on to the screen, I can see the image. And this should be backlight problem.
I open up the TV and found a few leds failed. And now I am ordering a new set of backlight strips for it.
But there is something that I do not understand when checking the leds. I do not have an led tester. I only use a bench power supply. I first set the voltage to 3V and current to 10mA. I could not light up the led until I increase the voltage to 12V. I understand most... -
by PipolupsHi there !
I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...10-08-2024, 11:58 AM -
by edugimenoHi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth... -
by MisterfixitThis set has the known reputation of failed led backlights. The set does not turn on, but when plugged in, the power led stays lit for about 5 seconds followed by two short blinks and then it repeats itself. While shinning a flashlight on the screen, you can make out the Sharp logo, then it goes out and repeats the cycle. I measured some voltages across the led backlight connector. What has me puzzled is that when I place the negative lead of my vom on the led backlight pin connector (in which the black wire going to the leds was), I measure as high as -228volts, and then it falls to -95 volts...
