I tried many combination of masking and nothing made any real difference until shorting the clock lines. the color fade was much better too so didn't feel the need to do anything else. I don't know if vgl,vgh was necessary i only masked those not shorted.
in your pic of buffer board those 4 diode packs are the clock lines just short the top most pins all together that's what I did, looks like you have 12 clock lines for 75" mine was 8 for 65"...Leave a comment:

Well I taped 10 pins using the service manual for a similar model which also had the CN1300 & CN1301 connectors. My bad side was on the CN1300 so I taped pins 10 to 19 which are the clock lines and VGL,VGH...

I followed this vid and got my best result with no lines. Key is to to short all the clock lines together after masking them, no lines after doing that.
I shorted them at the diode packs near where it enters panel.
Have great image now just slight color fade on bad side since one side is doing all the work I guess.Leave a comment:

oh I found theres a short between CKV1 & CKVB1 , I think that is internal panel issue so never going to fix that but I then saw "short killer" videos on youtube for this very issue haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5ti8vp9VUMLeave a comment:

Tape mask on samsung RU7100
I got boot looping 65RU7100 and did tape mask and got image back. I narrowed down the problem to 1 pin it was pin 16 on left side which is CKVB1 so I masked that pin as well as CKV1 cause I read should do them in pairs. Image is pretty good but I get horizontal scan lines on bad side of panel, any way to fix this? When I was experiementing with blocking CKV pins I noticed the more I blocked the more color loss I got on bad side of panel2 Photos -
makes sense when led only on bottom you cant do a flip. I've seen video of people scratch away burnt mark but I think good approach would be to move LED strip slightly so it's no longer sitting directly under the burnLeave a comment:

Re: Samsung Q6F edge LED section not working
Well used Dremel and it worked but yeah just melts so it's messy and slow. razor and straight would be way better.
With diffuser on I can see I need LEDs strips asa few LEDs are dim.
Does anyone know if qled just means it has that orange filter sheet and blue leds or is the diffuser different too? I thought I had to get qled to replace this diffuser but it just seems like normal white led oneLeave a comment:

Re: Samsung Q6F edge LED section not working
Theres only 1 connector for backlights. 12 pins, 6 lines, 2 LED strips. Line 1 has low voltage on minus pin no matter which LED strip I connect it to so has to be problem with PSU. LED tester also shows no issue with either strip. On PSU all voltages otherwise normal +130v on all +pins and 65v on all -pins except Line 1 only showing 5v.
Anyone know what I can try to diagnose problem?
And yes I have a new diffuser for it, I had his tv for a while waiting for another 65 samsung QLED to come along

Samsung Q6F edge LED section not working
Trying to fix Samsung Q6F with dark vertical area and when I unplug motherboard and turn on tv 1 backlight section is not coming on but with LED tester all the sections work. On TV power supply I measure on +side 130v for all sections and on -side I get 55v for all sections except the one not working which is only 5v.
How do I tell if problem is PSU or strip? On the LED tester it reads 68v for all sections. I fully expect it to be a bad strip cause the strips and diffuser are so melted and cracked im surprised any LEDS work...Last edited by nubinator; 10-22-2023, 04:42 AM. -
Re: Samsung UN65KS8000 wont boot, restarts, display damage 💔 Worth a shot?
I have same model and it also has weird panel damage without cracks. Mine are like black ink blotches around the screen. Even with screen off you can see the areas like its delaminated or something. and yes I sold off the one conect for a nice sum on ebay. Just turn off OCM Support in service menu before you do so you can still use the TV for apps otherwise youre stuck at one connect screen and have to reset eeprom...Leave a comment:
