Youre probably right BUDM, But I noticed this TV has only one LED strip in it with 16 leds in series.The LED strip also has a two wire connector .A red wire connector (anode)..and a black wire connector(cathode).And when measuring the red wire's voltage(on a working set) I get 21 volts.I'm not sure why but maby there is some more amplification from the LED driver IC.What do you think??

21V seems too low for me for 32" TV, that will be for about 6 White LEDS (21V/3.3Vf = about 6 LEDs) per string and each string driven individually, most LEDs backlights are connected in series to form one big string

should be 21 volts for the LED STRIP. And 13 volts for the other output.

I have the same model with the same issue (powers on for a fews seconds with logo then goes off). I checked power on the diodes mentioned on a previous post. With the main board unplugged I get 10 volts on the two left side diodes and 6.5 on the right side. When I plug the main board back up to the power supply and test while the TV is on for the few seconds both voltages double and drop out after the TV goes back off. I haven't pulled the caps to test yet but looks like all my diodes are working correctly.

Hello my funai tv was doing the same thing and i took a hairdryer to the powerboard for about a minute and it has been working good for a coupe of days now.

It's the transformer oscillating at a much lower frequency than normal .There is a short some where possibly on the main board.Unplug the tv and Disconnect the main board from the power supply .Now plug it back in,and if the whining noise stops then you need to replace the main board .

I have a lf320fx4f also but mine makes a high pitch whinning noise when I plug it in and nothing happens when I push the power button. what would make that noise?

I agree this model is known for bad LEDS. There has been several cases of this.I just had to replace the LED strip in one of these with the same symptoms everyone is talking about(caused by one of the LEDS shorted)

JDC, if the tv starts up and displays the logo then goes off you have standby voltage, otherwise it would not start up. When the tv turns off does it still have sound (with Black screen) or is the whole set shutting down?

This set uses led back lighting so its possible that one of the led's is open in the string and it is going into protect. You can test for standby and other voltages on the jumpers labeled across the top of the board. Other than the hairdryer on the caps none of the previous posters were able to fix your symptoms with the power board, likely indicating back lighting problems are the common mode of failure on this model

Just for giggles I would also test the schottky diodes D1001 and D656 on the back of the power board (a very common failure on funai) as well as zeners d654 and d608 for leakage. On the zeners you will probably have to lift a leg as one of the previous posters indicated they are parallel with a low ohm resistor

Hello everyone. I have the same TV and the same issue. The TV briefly flashes the FUNAI logo and then dies. This is the second TV I've dove into (the first had bad caps) so I'm still learning. The caps on my board look okay. I'm also fairly certain I won't be able to test the standby voltage unless I figure out a way to trick the board into thinking it's still plugged into the main board.

Any suggestions or updates? Thanks in advance.

the problem with the power board are the two transformers (coils) both are bad

Did yours do the exact same thing as mine?-

It Turns on for about 3 or 4 seconds sometimes a bit longer, just enough to see a picture of the logo , and promptly goes out.

I took a hairdryer and heated the capacitors on the power supply board to test to see if that was the problem and thankfully it powered on . I unplugged it and let everything cool down for a half hour or so and it powered back on and seems fine for now but I suspect the capacitors on the ps board will need changing soon . I figured I could get some capacitors to be ready in case it happens again . I hope you get your sorted out .

You just invaded this thread with a pointless question, how is some one supposed to know if that there panel fits your specific tv and why were you asking anyway this thread is about repairing the psu no one ever mentioned anything about the panel ? If you need help start a new thread or look up your panel and find out what sets have the same panel and see if you can find one !

I sure didn't, It seems the voltage was correct for the momnent it was on, but I switched out the power and the main boards with "working" ones, tried disconnecting all the plugs and powered up each time also with no change.
