Samsung TV - Only get picture after warming up

I have a Samsung LN-T4069 TV. When I first turn the TV on in the morning, I have sound and backlight (whitish, grayish light) but no picture. If I leave it on for 2-3 minutes, turn it off and then on again, the picture will then show up.

I thought it was a capacitor issue (saw 2 bad caps) got a cap replacement kit from LCDAlternatives (those guys ROCK!) - swapped out all the caps, but the problem remains……

So now what? What could be causing this?

Thank you one and all. As a woman attempting her first capacitor soldering activities, my friends think I am crazy, but I am really enjoying this - just wish I could fix the problem!

If you are not sure where the T-CON board is, please post the pictures of the back of the TV so we can point it out to you.

That did the trick! I did the test twice. I made sure the TV was "cold" and that the picture would not come on. And both times, after heating up the TCon, I got a picture.

So I am assuming this means I need to replace the Tcon correct?

It does - it was at the top of the tv - under a metal panel with silver tape - and I watched the ShopJimmy Video on how to find you part number - mine is lj94-01973H

When the time comes to swap it out - how in the world do I disconnect those four wire connectors at the top?

Well shoot - I replaced the T-con board successfully, but the problem has not been resolved…… now what? anyone, any ideas?

Does the hairdryer heating still bring it on?

Check all your connectors

if heating it brings it back on, maybe its a tab bonding issue ?
