Hello! I have exchanged the mainboard TNPH0993 in my TV Panasonic TX-L42ET5E (E like Europe) for the same board which comes from TV TX-L42ET5B (B like Britain). The TV works properly, but in menu is missing the possibility to set the language and the region of use. I tried to set it in the service menu, but there it isn't possible either. In the end I upgraded firmware on the newest version for Europe models and expected it to help, but it didn't. The two items in the menu are still missing. So my question is: " How can I set this board from Britain TV model to the Europe model?" I think it must be possible, the boards are exactly the same, only the settings (softwares) are different. Just the menu on the picture is missing.
Panasonic TX-L42ET5B - how to change language?

Note from Admin on the now removed reply - please do not be snarky with people asking for help. Especially if it's simply a minor issue with how someone words their post.User submitted datasheet, schematic, boardview, service manual, firmware, bios, & software. -
I don't know how it works in these sets, but i know there is a settings eprom on the MB, you can try to copy the content of the one on original MB to the new MB, or swap the ic, then perform a service reset, i don't think it works but who knows?Comment

I have here one mechanically damaged original board type E. I wanted to swap some of the memories, but I was said it is not possible, because all the memories are associated vith the processor. They must have the same numbers written in them. The numbers would have to be changed, but I am not able to do it.Comment

There are SPI, NAND and DDR memories on this board. You are only speaking about SPI memory. Yes, I have the sop8 clip and I could download the dates from that SPI memory on original board and write to another one. But I think, it would be useless. There are only the personal settings in this memory, not software. I will wait for opinion of other technicians for now. Thank you.Comment

I did it, how you had advised me. I downloaded the contents of the EEPROM on the Europe board and then uploaded it into the EEPROM on the English board. It worked. You were right. I am happy now. My TV is working properly - it has full menu and all the function. Thank you very much. Have a good time!Comment

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπ€?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting π.

by Retro140Hello,
So I was referred here when I made this poste over on AVForums: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/loc...lg-tv.3257234/
To summarize, this is a commercial TV and I can't get a menu of any kind. I know the overlay is working because when I change channel, adjust volume, turn on sleep timer I do see text. But I have not ever seen the user menu nor the installers menu. I've tried a bunch of remotes(more info on the AVF post) and tried every button... -
by finntrickystrange going on with this tv,

by IerwinHello everyone,
I got a 58pus7805 that shows some weird behavior.
The menu and remote work fine and the picture is looking crisp and flawless while navigating the menu.
However, when a video source is displayed the screen either goes solid green (HDMI), solid black (SAT TV) or shows some fragments on mostly green background (AVI Playback from USB).
I tried to reinstall the firmware through the menu which was rejected saying it already had the latest version.
I managed to install the latest official firmware by holding the control button while plugging... - Loading...
