    vizio gv47lfhdtv10a bad t-con!?

Just got this on the super cheap, panel turns on and works the menus look fine, when a picture is on the screen you can see the picture is starting to look solarized.

Before I tear into it, I am making a thread.

Here is a photo of the screen in action.

I will take the back off in a day or two.

I would re-seat the cables on the T-CON and on the main board, then check the GAMMA Voltages on the T-CON.

Will do, the menus seem unaffected with or without a picture.

Gamma voltages are fine, here is where it gets strange. This is supposed to be 1080p according to the fancy placard on the front of the unit.

When the source is at 1080p the picture looks like it does in the photo above. When set to any other resolution the picture is fine.

So this leads me to believe the mainboard is shot.

HDMI controller was going out, replaced the mainboard and it is now working as intended.

I have the same model GV47LFHDTV10A that has a damaged main board.Anybody have the actual schematic for it?I can only find trouble shooting charts for and I need a true schematic that shows me what parts connect to what. Also if you've the schematic for the audio board and anything else it would be much appreciated.I've had the set sitting in storage so I can give the actual board part numbers but I'd love to fix it.Thank you in advance

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
              by Fly_Among_Stars
              Hi,
              I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
              Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

Vizio P602UI-B3 No Picture or Sound - No TCON Voltage
              by jason123
              Hello,
Help is much appreciated as I don't have any experience with this model TV.

Picked it up and it was smoking in the back when powered.
Open opening the LED Driver board was charred (see last photo.)

I noticed some blown caps on the Power board as well.

Replaced the LED driver board, and bad caps on Power supply.

Voltages on CN301 (upper power supply connector to LED driver board)
              X000017 - All 24.39V
              GND - 0.001
              OD - 0.015
VSNS - 0.009 (does that imply bad backlight or bad LED Driver?)

Vizio M65-E0 No Picture, No Sound
              by ggil44
Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

Vizio m65-c1 picture flashing on and off on the screen
              by maricm
              HI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
              Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
              by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started β€˜fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly β€˜new' Tcon board this time, and
