So now that I have my Samsung plasma working, and don't have an Arial plugged into it as testing power on for a while it turns off after 10 minutes, is this a stand by thing so that if no input is found for 10 minute it turns off as a power saver type thing? Or more dodgy things going on? Cheer.

can you connect say a dvd via scart and let it play see if it still does it? -
Re: plasma turns off.
What you have now is probably what was wrong with it in the first place, soldering problem around the FET's. Check this post :
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...t=35663&page=2
& read from my comment NO:30
Basically follow the advice in their about checking the FET soldering. They often look ok but under close inspection the soldering is usually poor & after the set warms up a few minutes it clicks off. If you continue to run the TV with that condition then the FET'S will eventually fail.

Re: plasma turns off.
lol, as tv is outside i used lead through crack in door from my tv to test last night, all working fine and great pics, all programs auto scanned and saved. tonight i thought just give it another power up but as my mrs was moaning about the cold draft i had no aerial lead through the crack in door. This is when i found that after ten mins or so it shuts off. I did go through the menus and turn off most obvious things relating to power save etc..... also graham i have run an hot iron over the fets etc last week ....bleeding tele....Comment

Re: plasma turns off.
Right chaps, finished work early, house to my self, aerial cable shoved through open door & t.v stays on..... after an hour, t.v is still on and all i well.
I then disconnect the aerial lead, "NO SIGNAL" and in 10 mins shuts off....
I then plug aerial back in, turn back on out of stand by and stays on for 30 mins plus
Samsung must use a safe mode for 'NO Input' found. Worth remembering chaps. Just need paying now for parts. Thanks for all input by all. xxxComment

by StephenMacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

by wwwI am testing an old LG L192WS-BN monitor I have that gives an image, but has a backlight issue. When you turn it on the backlight turns on 1 second and it turns off, turns on again, 1 second and it turns off and stays off. Using a flashlight I can see there's still an image.
I replaced a bulged cap on the main board, but made no difference. I also got another exact same model monitor that has a broken ccfl (the connector got ripped from the panel and the main screen connector is also broken so I can't use this panel to test), tried using the main board from this one, same issue....-

by Egidio85good morning, I have a samsung UE55F8000SZ tv that turns on, shows the logo and turns off after 1-2 seconds.
This defect happens continuously, hearing the classic click of the relay every time.
Power supply board BN44-00636B
disconnecting the mains and lamps from the power board always causes the same problem.
Is it normal that without anything connected this power supply turns on and off cyclically?
any suggestions on what to check?
thanks in advance

by canadaboy25Hey guys,
I have a LG 50PJ550 plasma that will not power on.
When plugged in, the relays click and the screen lights briefly before the relays click again and it shuts right down. It then tries starting up again before giving up and just sits there with the red LED on. Pressing the power button again repeats the process.
During the moment where the screen is on, there is a slight fuzz that starts to go away as most plasma's do when they turn on. So i do not think it is a panel issue as I get a normal looking image for a split second.
