32" Auria EQ3288 Stuck On Standby

I have this 32 auria does has no reaction when pressing the power button. The standby light is on, but pressing the power on button does nothing.

Measuring the PSU outputs, I only have 5.2V on the 5v standby pins. There is an O/F pin (I'm guessing on/off?), has no reaction when pressing the power. And I'm not sure what the I/A or I/B pins are.

I tried forcing on the PSU, putting a resistor on 5V to O/F pin. I'm now having low voltages on the 24v, 12v pins like near 0 volts.

Now I disconnect the main board from the PSU and force it on again resistor from 5v to O/F. 24v pin measures 24.2V, 12v pin measures 11.9v, I/A measures 2.5v, I/B measures 0v.

So does this mean the PSU is good and I need a new main board?

That means the main board is not sending the PS_ON to turn on the power supply.
I cannot tell from looking at the picture of the main board, I would to see if it has any fuses, also need to check the voltages on those 3-pin regulators.

Re: 32" Auria EQ3288 Stuck On Standby

I found one fuse on the main board labeled F101 that's still good reading 0.90v on both sides.

      I102
      ll9CA 1117L
      2.08v 3.33v 5.25v

      I103
      ll9CA 1117L
      0.06v 0.10v 0.90v

      I110
      ll9CA 1117L
      0v 0v 0.08v

Seems like that fuse to connected to the input of I103?

Does I103 seem suspect? or I'm guessing it's just not receiving the correct inputs.

It is not getting enough input voltage to work. There are large body 3-pin big regulators all 3 in the row that you need to check the voltage. That fuse looks like it is for +5V for USB ports.

All those bigger regulators are labeled 1084 902556. All of the pins are measured near zero (less than 0.1v) except for the ones in the picture reading 0.90v.

It looks like you need to start tracing the 5VSTBY traces on the board to see where it leads to, I expect it to be connected to more than one Voltage regulator, and the output 3.3V of I102 may feed other voltage regulators (such as 1.8V reg for example) too.

Just replaced the main board (Same serial number except made by viewsonic) The TV powers up now and displays "viewsonic" instead of the usual "Auria"

Heres the problem though, I cannot turn on the TV. If I press the power button, it'll display "Power Locked" I thought it was something with the setup menu but its not. I'm guessing it has something to do with how the main board differs in programming? What would happen if I switched the eeproms?

From Viewsonic user manual, try this:
                    Note:
                    1. Press VOL+ and MENU buttons at the same time to lock power button, and press VOL+ and MENU buttons again to unlock it.
                    2. Press VOL- and VOL+ buttons at the same time to lock OSD menu, and press VOL- and VOL+ buttons again to unlock it.
Typical Viewsonic TV and Monitor locking function.

Nice, that worked perfectly! I was almost about to add a manual power switch to cut off the main power.

How did you end up with Viewsonic board any way?. I never heard of AURIA before.

Yeah I never heard of it either, but it was given to me for free. I looked up the board number on ebay, but all the main boards were pulled from viewsonic panels. $20 for a main board though so I took a shot.
