Sorry, but those are nearly useless. Can you get some sunlight on them? Or turn on the room lighting? Avoid flash - it tends to reflect off too much metal.

OK, so use it to test the output voltages of the power board.
Black probe on the metal chassis, red probe on each pin. Use DC 200V range.

5.95 at fuse 3.02 on large cap and the other places i could get at. i changed to oher power board and got same readings.when i push power button light goes green then oarge

"3.02 on big cap" which one and also please we need the voltages at the connection wire going to the main board (the board with the video inputs on it), keep them in order. All 8 of them.

starting at the top red wire 1.176 1.171 1.169 1.162 1.160 1.155 1.156 1.158 1.169 the cap is a 120uf-450v 3.199 both sides fuse reads 59.5

OK, those readings do not make any sense. What mode do you have your multimeter set to? Where are you putting the black probe? As a quick test of your multimeter check a fresh AA battery - should read about 1.5V to 1.6V.

"both sides fuse reads 59.5" That indicated he is using the chassis ground as the ground ref point which is not correct, when work in the primary side, you need to use the negative leg of the main filter cap instead for the primary ground ref point.

All the pins? Again, hard to believe your meter is working... did you try checking it with an AA battery as suggested?

checked with battery.used my fluke meter. still 3.0 on all 9 connectors not 8 and also checked bottom connector to mainboard same. meter has one setting for ac. here is a picture

thanks for help. sorry if i am doing something wrong .no offence. i discovered something new .i pushed the menu button and green light stayed on so i hooked dvd to component and i now have sound but black screen and no backlight. original problem was power supply and that is good. any idea what to do now

You must use volts DC, which is one click to the right of volts AC.
