    Vizio M470NV input (remote) problem.

I've got a M470NV I just replaced the main logic board on.
It now boots to the setup screen, and wants me to go thru the setup menu, but it's not responding to the remote keys.

The remote I have is the double sided model XRD2BR.

The volume keys work on the remote, and the osd changes the volume, but that's all I can get it to do.

I'm not getting anything from the jogwheel when trying to change the menu selection from home use /demo.

    Thanks for looking.

Have you checked or replaced the batteries? Is the cable from the IR remote sensor cable pluggerd back into the main board? Is the sensor circuit board in its orginal place and the sensor is not blocked? Does the led on front of the tv blink when operating the reomte?

Batteries are fine, as I said the volume controls work fine, I'm wondering if this main board needs a different remote than the original.

That can be the possibility. By the way, the new board has the same PCBA numbers as printed on the barcode sticker?

The guy I got the tv from gave my what he thought was the remote, but it turns out its the remote for a smart bluray player.
(It has the app buttons, and the qwerty keypad on the back)

Looks nearly identical, I just didn't examine the part number close enough.

Grabbed a universal remote, and the tv worked fine.
