Re: philips 42PFP5532D stuck on standby
What's the chassis code - printed on rear of set for example Q599.3E-LA? Next to normal model number. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Here's exact manual
Error codes page 18.
error code 4: General I2C error
error code 5: Trident video processor error
error code 2: +12V low/missing
I'd focus on error code 2. It looks like it could cause the other two errors. Check +12V at PSU.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: philips 42PFP5532D stuck on standby
It probably indicates a fault with the 12V out of the power board, but there's also the chance the main board is shorted. Also possible the main board is mis-detecting the fault and there actually isn't one (I've had this before.)
To find exact fault, it's best to check the 12V from the power supply just as the set is turned on. If it's low, then that points to a fault in the first two categories. If not, it's in the latter category. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
