    LJ41-04216A Cap C4712 trace damaged

Hi all, I was repairing a 50 inch samsung plasma with a power fault, got the power board repaired and tested and the tv now works ok but before a reassembled i seen a bulged cap on the x main board but when i was removing this i accidentally damaged the trace, I tried to scratch away a bit of the green covering to get to a trace to resolder the positive pin of the cap to but i cant seem to find any copper so can someone please tell me where i can solder a trace to as my circut tracing skills aren't the best, i'm still learning the ropes.. ;-)

Also could someone tell me where is a good place to find schematics,..

These boards are double sided. On that lead there is no connection on the bottom side but there would have been a pad purely to add strength and reduce strain on the top pad which is where this is connected to.

I think I have one of these laying around but if you go to SJ you can see the underside and there is white masking there but no copper trace, just a pad.

I did the same thing on the Ymain for the same series on a 680uF cap. Lost the bottom pad desoldering it. Just neaten that leg so it can't touch the exposed copper you have now created.

To my knowledge you won't find any schematics for these. You will with the panasonic TVs.

Well did not take me long to find the board. Pretty obvious there is no connection there. If you attempt to solder that lead to the nearest copper land then you will be shorting the - and + sides of the cap and what do you know, this is a 680uF cap.

      what a coincidence.

Scrape off the soldermask around that adjacent trace and solder to it. Same for ground.

Do be aware that these plasmas are prone to buzzing if:
            - case is not fully secured
            - board is not fully secured
            - inductor resin (on the coils in the middle of the board) has dried out

I would lay the cap on its side so you can easily solder the top side of the board which is connected to the B+, the bottom side you can scratch off the greens solder mast of that big trace which is connected to the fuse and bend the cap's leg over and solder to the exposed copper.

Is it possible bridging tiny broken trace
                    by chth96
When I assembled dreamcast I mistakenly fastened long bolt and It resulted in
                    cutting tiny trace.
This tiny trace(Total width of white coating is 5.5mm) is between R337,R343 and IC101 and it is covered with white coating in the below screenshot.

Firstly I tried to bridging tiny broken trace with my own eyes...But it is totally impossible..So a week ago, I ordered G1200 Digital Microscope and I magnified this tiny broken trace with it.

But It seems that It is really very tiny trace So I plan to order 0.1mm coper wire from aliexpress in order to bridging...

                    Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A schematic/boardview needed
                    by re-atari
                    Hello all,

Does anybody have a schematic and/or boardview of the Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A mainboard available? It would really help me out big time...

This board was donated to me in a known non-working state. In its previous life it was used as a mining board, so I suspected bad caps and a relatively easy fix. My intention is to use the fixed board as a testbed for a Truenas or Unraid build. The previous owner told me that the mainboard started to act 'weirdly' after replacing the originally installed Celeron for an i5-6400, varying from starting up irregularly to not at...

Help repairing Yamaha RM1X synthesizer/groovebox - PCB trace for capacitor has been pulled off
                    by jshhh
                    Hi guys,

I've been trying to restore this Yamaha RM1X groove-box I bought, and the first thing on my agenda was to replace a bad capacitor that was making it so that the screen was super dim. As I'm a complete novice I went and accidentally pulled off one of the trace pads for the SMD capacitor as I was removing it, pulling up some of the green PCB with it. I've been trying to repair it by gluing down copper tape from where it began to pull off and solder the capacitor on after...atm I've just been attempting to do the same kind of thing on rubbish PCBs I got at a recycling place,...

                    Hello Guys

I have a ASUS Rog strix laptop that I bought recently to fix and the previous owner spilled water on it . He brought it into a repair shop for them to check it out and instead of fixing it they damaged the battery connector of the laptop ! Other than that they damaged damaged nothing . But since the liquid damage the laptop only turns on and the keyboard lights up and then immediately turns off. I really want to repair this laptop and I also have experience in repairing phones etc and laptops and a bit of soldering but the diagnosing part is where I need help with and...

Identification of Component T5 on NEXIQ USB-Link 2 (damaged due to crushing)
                    by Tomylee
                    Hi everyone,
I'm currently repairing a NEXIQ USB-Link 2 that was physically damaged due to crushing. After a thorough inspection, it appears that only one component is visibly damaged: the T5 component, located right next to the Mini-USB port.

It's a 4-pin SMD component, with one pin at each corner, aligned front-to-back along the USB port axis. Unfortunately, it is broken, and there are no visible markings left on the part to identify it.

I'm looking for help with the following:

The exact identification or part number of the T5 component
