Do you really want to give up? ALL is not tried yet, now listen up, DO or at least try to do the update/re-pair, no joy then DO these tcon tests, a video is worth a million words. Ok thanks for trying and appreciate the patience. If you have doubt with the standalone test, which Im guessing that means you think either A its the panel or B my skills at the test, then theres no point in going further and Ill scrap it.

Secret to removing them? I took out the screws for the stands and I removed the 3 screws that were holding it down, but there is no play in the plate.

lol... common.... sorry man. i have doubt right now with yours standalone test and this small things... please seek help from around before you cause unforgivable damage to the set

under the speaker you will have plate on each side you need to remove them then you will have access to the panel buffer boards which the 2 ribbon cable from T-con connected to them... take look at the middle you will find U ribbon cable connect 2 pieces together on each side

Im assuming since I plugged in the MB and it went thru the process and allowed me to perform a factory reset it, it has paired?

I would run Nicks update/re-pair, its different than a reset, plus its probably the latest firmware for it.

Ill try this now, but what is meant by " turn on the TV with signal " ? Do you just mean to power up tv?

just called Nicks, they said the USB was for pairing the MB back to this TV, so they sent me instructions on how to do and will perform that now.

Oh and Nicks did send me a USB drive bac with my MB but no information with it. When I plugged into my computers and I checked the file name it was " upgrade_loader.pkg " I dont have a program on my computer to open it, but figure its something for the TV. I was going to call them today and ask about it. Bad thing is though, if its some kind of firmware updater or something, without being able to see anything on screen, I wont be able to do anything with it.

I believe thats the firmware update.

Well the screen shows me nothing ( meaning cant see any message appear ) but I did hold down the remote power, tv shut off and rebooted, LED lights cycled, but no display.
Tried the unplug and hold manual button down for 30 seconds and plugged back in, and LED lights cycled but no display.
Tried a hard reset with the power and down buttons held, green lights faded in and out on little light below the TV, then let go, little light went to white, LED lights cycled, but no display.
