    Panasonic TC-P55ST30 one led blink

TV used to start up fine then i had to unplug it for a while to get it to start now nothing and one blink

i cant find the manual for this actual model but i did for TC-P55GT30 it shows one led blink means

    Panel information SOS
    LP1 Start SOS

but doesnt really tell me which board to start with what does it mean ?

any thoughts or have you seen this before ?

So, did you had the time to take a look or test anything else concerning your 1 led blink ?

Here's something i do all the time, use the find function in the PDF reader and search LP1, you would find it located on the A-board which Tom has already mentioned.

IC9300 LP1 which loads data from the SPI Flash IC9304. I have had a 1 blink on a 2010 board and by chance discovered a bad SPI Flash triggered the 1 blink.

I guess either faulty flash or corrupted data in my case. Faulty IC9300 could do it too I expect.

With my 2010 model i could isolate all the other boards and ribbons from the A and it would power up normal or in my case 1 blink remained which proved it was an A board issue.

I don't think with these later ones that would prove anything as the troubleshooting guide says 3 fast blinks would occur.

        As for a manual,

or check out the stickys, TV repair reference library under TOM66 who has a site with a collection of manuals.

        There's a 2012 ST50 guide here http://www.tgohome.com/ServiceManual...h=Submit+Query

okay i figured out i have AD, but does this mean i can switch it with any board as long as i change the resistors to match AD? does anyone know what these resistors are actually doing from model to model ?

No. Don't think those jumpers do anything. The one you mention is 65", eeprom/flash data will be different for the size

Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST30 one led blink

got a new A board plugged it in, now 7 blinks points to the SU SD board

did the jumper test, powered on, no blinks so that clears the SC board

i cant seem to find a way diagnosis just the su or just sd board any tips?

and are the SD/SU boards interchangeable between models or different versions of the same tv i need TNPA5340 but found TNPA5340AK they have different pany part numbers

and a final thought the A board i got is damaged (see pics) you think it will be okay or should i have the seller replace/return it (and im pretty sure i need an A board i put the old one back in and tried the jumper trick from earlier and still only 1 blink )

Try slide 71 on since you've already got a clear startup with the SC50 jump.

You're certainly going to have to grab the HDMI body well if you attempt to straighten that tab. Could always try a partial refund? A boards can be hard to find so you probably don't have a lot of leverage.

Oh, ok did not check that one. Doubt that will be a major issue. It's just an inductor, probably not too hard to track one down. I'd have a go at getting a price reduction though. If using Paypal, you have evidence of it not as described.

How rare are the boards though?

this one with the suffix AD wasnt the easiest to find but i think he has another and i have seen a few others on the bay site ill see if he want to toss some money back my way

so once i started testing the boards trying to narrow down which baord needed to be replaced, the TV just started working im guessing a reseat of the ribbon did it

but now i am getting a buzzing from the SS but ONLY when there is video or something being displayed if the screen is BLACK i dont hear it or its very low, there might alos be buzzing coming from the power board and on the SS, the heat sink that has a few regulators bolted to it is HOT i can feel it radiating im guessing that is somewhat normal, but how to i proceed on stopping the buzzing ?

i can take a video if need be

make sure the bolts are secure, otherwise can't say i've struck a Pana with buzzing boards except when I had a loose SC.

Comes down to whether $15 is life changing or the wty, provided they're still around and keep their word.

As a percentage of the original purchase ?

Bottom line is you need one, not much difference between 3 & 6 months, you'd be unlucky if this went again.

Can go into the service mode and see how many hours it's clocked up.
