Just wanna say THANKS to tw2005 and Tom66.
Couples months ago i had my TC-P54VT25 with SOS 1 blink. Took the TV to a certified Panasonic Shop and the guy told me the panel was shorted.
Couldn't believe my 2 1/2 years 2700$ TV, was good for garbage.
Brought it back home and started working on it with Tom and Tw.
After a couples of days, Logic board ( D-Board ) was replaced, because Tw and Tom66 helped me to find the problem.
After 6 months, TV still working like a brand new.
Thanks guys.
Pleasure.

Re: Plasma Buzzing Sound
Again and again, usefull informations here. I should receive the broken TC-P50VT20 sometimes next week. And yes, after reading your post, i'll check every boards and......
Maybe you could help me at that time to troubleshoot and confirm if the boards or ok ? I do have a better understanding of these TV's since I took a look at them with y'all last time. And i would be all excited again to get my hands in it for another third VT20/25 serie's TV.
When you say : I have read and seen digital noise or image problems in the VT20 ?...

Re: Plasma Buzzing Sound
Yes it was, haven't had the time to take off the back and take a look at my 2 TVs. Still waiting for some parts, actualy i bought a TC-P50VT20 for 100$ ( 60 euro ) for parts, the screen is broken. And though i could use the D Board for my TC-P54VT25 ( Board only was 135 $ shipped ) so i bought the the broken TC-P50VT20 instead. Can't wait to put my hands in it again. Yep....

Re: Plasma Buzzing Sound
Interesting, i've check the link you provide, great great post. I'll try the Ty-rap thing and check for coils, transformer and tight screws. I think it also reverberate a bit much because of proximity walls, near 1 feet behind the TV, 25 feets/foot ceiling resonate, also near a window. Like you said, i'm hearing it with the volume turn down and facing the TV at the same height mostly. Always interesting reading these posts.

Plasma Buzzing Sound
Not so sure if it's the right place to post this question, but here it is:
Is the buzzing sound on any plasma because of high power driving the panel ?
It doesn't really bother me that much, I should say it doesn't bother me at all. But I do know it buzz louder when the screen is fill with white content. If I'm right, there's a board in charge of turning on pixels, which in this case, white color, do buzz louder, and there's another board which turn off the pixels, am I right ? If yes, what's actualy causing the buzz, screws, coils, transistors, panel frame........

TC-P50VT20 Screen replacement
I paid 100$ for the TC-P50VT25, for parts. Ok, understand the logic of the gas thing, yep.
May cancel ShopJimmy for that 100$ or just keep both for parts anyway.

Really Tom, NOTHING can be apply on screen to make it work, even if it ain't a big crack, and if it's in the corner of the screen.

TC-P50VT20 Screen replacement
Hi everyone,
Just bought a TC-P50VT20 for parts, the screen is cracked.
My question is, maybe Tom or Tw will answer this one i guess,
Is it possible to replace a screen on a TC-P50VT20 or to apply something, like they apply on windshield, i mean on a car. ( This one is funny, but hey, i paid 100$ for that TC-P50VT20, just for parts )
Thanks guys, pleasure to be here like always.

Re: Panasonic TC-P54VT25 _1 Blinking Code
Hey guys, Tom and Tw,
Is something different been loaded in D-board when i've put it in 54VT25.
My question is, because i've took the D-board from the 50VT20 and put it in the 54VT25 to confirm the problem,
Now that the 50Vt20 D-board has loaded in the 54VT25,
When i put 50VT20 back in the 50VT20, is there anything else i should do.
Is something different loaded in the chip ?
Is the chip displaying like it should you think ?
Something else i...Last edited by Frank3y3; 01-21-2014, 08:47 PM.

Is there a way to let people know '' Problem Solve '', so they know in the title that they can refer to this blog for help with the same problem.

Re: Panasonic TC-P54VT25 _1 Blinking Code
While i'm thinking about it, the guy at the repair shop, which Panasonic refered me to, told me the plasma Panel was short and a chip on a ribbon cable needed to be replace, which is impossible. I'm thinking about it, and they charge 50$ for a diagnose ( to find the problem ) and give your money back if you accept to pay for repair. Now, if i took me 3 days, let's say 36 hours, to find the problem, i suggest that, when the guy didn't find the problem after 2-3 hours, and was out of cash, let's say they are paid 15-20$/hour, he said, well,...Last edited by Frank3y3; 01-21-2014, 05:53 PM.

Re: Panasonic TC-P54VT25 _1 Blinking Code
Just to make sure, check the other post.
No, no no no, Tom
I've put back the original 50VT20 D-board in place, i didn't put the faulty D-board 54VT25 into the 50VT20, no no no.
i hope you understand this one correctly.
The D-board 50VT20 works now in the 50VT20 and solve the problem of SOS1 blink in the 54VT25, i hope my statements are clear.
Frank.
D-board in 54VT25 is good for garbage now....
