Hi Everyone,
This is my "first" time posting so I will try to be as detailed as possible.
*Problem*
My 3.5y/o Panasonic TC-P42G25 is not powering on and the LED is flashing a 10 blink error sequence.
*Troubleshooting*
So far I have removed the rear panel and performed a visual inspection of the P, SS, SC, and A boards and do not see any evidence of blown/burned caps or fuses.
I have tried disconnecting the SC and SS boards from the P board (first one then the other then both) and powering it on to see if the blink sequence would change. It did not. I still get the "generic" 10 blink sequence regardless of whether the SC or SS boards are connected.
*Observations*
The power on sequence with all boards connected is as follows:
1. Plugin AC cord
2. Immediate click-click followed by 13 second pause
3. Single click sound followed by very faint ascending high frequency sound (guessing it is the capacitors charging). The high freq. sound lasts for a second or 2
4. Press power button
5. Immediate click-click, pause 2 seconds, single click, then LED Error code
The service manual indicates there are LEDs on the SC and SS boards however I do not see either LED lit up.
My gut feeling is telling me that this is most likely the P board, and though I consider myself somewhat technically savvy, this is my first foray into TV repair so I'd like a second opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if any additional information is needed.
