    Testing LCD Tcon Pinouts

    Hi Guys,
What is the best test for LCD TV Tcons other than replacing them with a good spare? I understand that the newer Tcons are able to be jumped with wireto display a test pattern. Not as easily as the the Plasma Tcons though.
I have got Ebooks from several of the well known TV repair sites and its not there either. I tried Google got every thing except what I am looking for.
Does anyone know what pin #44 of the LVDS wire cable is? What about pinouts to the TCON with the Dual Flat Ribbon Cablles?
    Thanks
    Ltank

When you get the spec sheet of the LCD panel, it will give you the pin out and the requirement to run the T-CON, INVERTER, etc. There is no standard pin out for the LVDS connector.
As you can see, the panel from the same manufacturer does not have the same pin out.

Its a Shame the TV manufacturing companies can't agree on a standard. The Computer companies standardized the power supplies, USB, Serial ATA, main board card slot expansion slots. At least HDMI and Fiber connections are standard. Wouldn't our lives be a lot easier if it was standardized? You could build a TV as easily as a Computer! They almost stopped giving Schematics in Service Manuals because they want you to buy a new TV or replace the board instead of repairing it, in our Throw Away Society

I agree, it is such a waste of earth resources.

At least they standardised on inverter pin out, more or less. LVDS might be standardised after the move to 4K or AMOLED
