Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
CCFL Warehouse is getting into supplying finished LED back lights, but their selection is small and they don't have these. I would expect if things go the way they are you will see more of these on the market.
There is a little bit of info on the last pic which shows the colour temperature as 6.5K, not sure if anything else useful is there.
The discolouration on the led's btw was put there by me with a sharpie to mark bad ones.Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Wow.If you take measurements and unsolder one there maybe a a mfg part# on the back side next to the board. I have tried to find LED strips because I was currious and there are none to be founf through my normal outels that I use, I can find individual leds.
I have followed this thread closely beause I have a set with issues that I have not resolved and I am learning from this.
The old question, Is it better to know alot about a little or little about alot?Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
That was difficult - very hard to see with the damn light stabbing your eyes.
I managed to get this. 3.6v across working led.
As for amperage, well... there was a spark and POOF! Lower half of the left string (the portion with 19 out already) has gone dark. The good news is the upper half has gone to full luminosityLeave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Measuring across the LED in both instances. Ammeter mode will make LED go off or very dark - this is OK.Leave a comment:

Yes, you can do that. We don't care if main board is working or not.Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Ya let me clarify that. I CAN run the leds as the default is ON with main unhooked is that good enough for the measurements ?Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Tom I can't take measurements atm as the tv is deaf dumb and blind because I broke the ir board so needs repair firstLeave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Show us a picture of the LEDs.
Then, take your meter and measure the voltage across the LED when it is at room temperature (allow TV to settle down to room temperature first.)
Then put your multimeter in 10A range across it, shorting it out, measuring current.
(Both done while TV powered ON.)
Then the replacement LED may be located.Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
It might be tough trying to find drop-in led's so I'm going to try and get a used replacement strip and harvest what I need.Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
Was there any part numbers on the led emitters so the bad less can be replaced? I looked online and found no led backlighting strips available. The listings at Mouser with size, wattage, Luminance, voltage, current etc is very long. Makes it difficult to look up the correct ones.Leave a comment:

Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light
All 20 tested short (continuity) though I didn't ohm them.
Strangely enough I'd doubt you could tell the difference in brightness from the bottom half left strip vs the right strip with regular programme material even though almost half are out. Can't leave it the way it is though as I DID notice a difference with the top left portion of the screen when the set was working.
Need a source for these led's if I can't get another strip...Leave a comment:

by mecha1166I am working on a QN750Q8FNBFXZA. Dead except the standby light. It blinks what appears to be 1 3 1 2. 1 long blink, pause, 3 short, pause, 1 long, pause, 2 short, pause, repeat. A service manual would be very helpful, or if anyone knows these error codes. Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... -

by AleMontiHi everyone,
I'm trying to troubleshoot and repair this old LG OLED curved TV, model 55EG910V.
I did some basic troubleshooting and reviewed most related posts here, but I wasn't able to isolate the issue.
The TV shut itself off during playback and never came back to life - the standby light remains off. My dad claims that it has happened a few times in the past but the issue resolved itself after some time. Not this one.
After checking the basics I did the following:- I measured all voltages and as expected the only active supply is the 3.5V standby. It

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r... - Loading...
