KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen.
KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help. -
I found a scrap power supply that came from a set with no backlights. Cap looked normal, but replaced it anyway. Tried it in this set, backlights but still cuts off. So not helping on my tv, but wanted to let everyone know the backlight problem can be fixed with the capacitor. The capacitor can look good but still be bad!... -
Hi! I have one of these tvs here. Problem is it plays about 5 to 20 mintutes, picture is fine. Then picture goes blank but backlights stay on. I can shut off tv with power button. Unplug tv 15 minutes and reset, it will come back on another 5-20 minutes and lose video again but backlights stay on. I have lready tried main & tcon. Any ideas? Panel itself or power supply? The backlights should be good, as they stay on.Leave a comment:

Tascam CC-222MKIV Need PLAY / RECORD button assy on CD side.
Hi. A customer brought in a Tascam CC-222MKIV. Play/Record buttons on CD are broken. I am looking for a mechanical parts breakdown so I can get the part number for this key assy. I found the schematic online, and I can tell you the schematic locations for those switches themselves. There is a plastic assembly with buttons that each have shafts to poke the surface switches on the circuit board right behind the faceplate. That is what I need. Thanks! -
Un70nu6900 taped lvds, how to fix washed out 1/2 picture?
I am getting these 70 inch Samsungs daily. Dead set light comes on goes off, dark screen. Tried taping the problem lvds cable pins 13 to ? pin, used about 9 mm scotch tape. Picture comes on, no distortion lines, looks good, but 1/2 of screen is washed out. Problem seems to always be the last little strip on the bottom. Has anyone found what is actually the problem? Possibly one of three diodes there? I have a pic but it is washed out on 1/2. Anyony had success in fully restoring the picture? Thanks. -

XR-77A80K Dead set, red light blinks 8 times. Cannot find error code list.
I have a XR-77A80K here. When plug in & press power, white lindicator light flashes on & off. about 30 seconds later, indicator light flashes 8x red. Checked Sony, Power reset = unplug & plug in. Factory reset involves turning it on, then pressing remote buttons when a picture shows. Well, neither of these "resets" are for a dead set like this. Anyone know what 8 blinks indicates, from the schematic? Thanks! -

Reattaching new edge to edge LCD panel to tv frame - Hisense 55a6g and others
Some new tvs have an LCD screen attached to the outside of the frame with foam tape. These are "edge to edge" as they are called. I am trying to figure out how to reattach an LCD panel back up to the frame. The manufacturer used 3/16 inch foam tape along the top and rh/lh edges. I used a razor blade to separate the panel from the metal frame. The metal frame that the panel is taped to is 1/4 inch wide along the 2 sides and top. I completely removed the residue from the metal frame. There is some residue on the panel itself along the 3 edges, I removed almost all of it using alcohol and... -
Yes. I load tvs onto my truck and offer a free delivery sometimes, within a few miles, for good customers and elderly. Customers that have had broken screens in the past- when they bring it back, I can see an impact point. so THEY did it, I have never had a cracked inner glass in over 1,000 backlight replacements. I was replacing backlights in LCD tvs - you know, the ones with flourescent lights inside- 20 years ago. So, yeah, I've seen a thing or two.Leave a comment:

Anyone here fix a tv and customer cracks panel when they get it home?
About 2 times a year, a customer will do this. We fix the tv, put it on test play, and customer sees it working. They see me pull power and video wire. Sometimes I pick up tv, right in front of them, and carry it out to their vehicle while they are next to me. I set it in their tv gently, and tell them the tv is very fragile, be careful with it. I let them close the door/trunk. That day, or a few days later, they tell me there is a crack inside the tv. Normally I tell them transportation is their responsibility and normally that is the end of it. Has anyone had a customer that was not buying this... -
It seems to me if I disconnect the mainboard and the panel lights, then the problem might just be the mainboard. A tech from Funai once told me to disconnect the main and if the panel lights, then the problem is the main. One hundlod pocent, he would say.Leave a comment:

QN750Q8FNBFXZA Service Error Codes Needed - Error code 1-3-1-2 ? Dead set, only blinking standby light in repeating sequence
I am working on a QN750Q8FNBFXZA. Dead except the standby light. It blinks what appears to be 1 3 1 2. 1 long blink, pause, 3 short, pause, 1 long, pause, 2 short, pause, repeat. A service manual would be very helpful, or if anyone knows these error codes. Thanks! -

I have a CDP-CX355 with Table Error. Anyone know what this is. I am opening it to check belts. I know position switch on bottom of CD holder "donut" goes bad or breaks on some of these models. -

Yes, but it has been shipped off for rebuild. Tried a different main (again, similar) and the tv turns on but the light flickers. Found an AE005056 on eBay for 9 bucks so I ordered that. Ordered main just in case main is bad. Will be able to replace and check everything next week.Leave a comment:
