Vidao 32E66 will not turn on

The orange light in the front turns on but nothing else happens.Removed back cover looked at the caps nothing puffy.Checked volts on wires where it's says 5v or 24v on the power supply that is what's there.

So what should I look for or test?I tried to find anything labeled ps/on and tried pressing the power on and testing each wire but no change in volts?

I did find this tv at work laying on the ground face up.Work for college apartment complex. We find stuff like this all the time and hoped some of it can be repaired.

Looks like they are made by haier and sale for 200 new.So wouldn't want to spend more than 100 trying to fix it.

So heading is misleading - it does turn on but no picture.
Have you a source connected - a video playing might be good.
Is there any sound - try cycling through the source/input as you wont know what it is on at the moment.
Close up in focus pictures of each board would help

Shouldn't the orange light change color when hitting the power button?Even with nothing connected.

Ok - Did you cycle through the inputs when you had the dvd connected?

Can you report all the voltages on each pin on con4 relative to aground screw. - You need to do this with all connectors in place.

Have you seen the back lights flash at any time?
Often on combined power/inverter boards there is a fuse connecting the two but I can see one. May be on the back of the board - can we have picture
                  of that please.

STB pin is the PS_ON pin. So the LED is on orange the minute you plug the TV into the outlet, and when you hit the power button, it still stays orange?

Yes tried biting the input button but no picture on screen at all.Tried the ch and vol also.

Con4 would that be the main plug going in between each board? The large and small ones are marked on the board 5v,24v,12v each had matching volts between what was marked and at the pin.

Only thing I seen close to a fuse but not sure is the yellow box in the lower right corner of the yellow board, but it seemed to be soldered to the board??

Yes soon as I plug the tv in the light turns orange and never changes color or flickers while pressing any buttons.

Also tried plugging it in and turning on in a dark room to look for any glow and can't see anything.Tried holding power for 30 seconds also didn't help.

No - yellow box is not a fuse - there is a black one right at the end but that must be ok. I am now looking for one on the back of the board - please post a clear picture.

Is there no flash at all from the screen - obviously you need the lamps plugged in.

You could also test to see if there is any voltage on the capacitor in the middle of the power board near where it says low voltage
The black one with a stripe - not the blue one.. We ask for clear pictures so we can see the part numbers makes it a lot easier.

Yes I meant the long connector to the main board please re test as I said and post results as
                          Pin1 - 0v
                          Pin2- 5v and so on

Yellow board part number is mib323d.No flash from screen.

I will test voltage when I get home from work today.I will try to get a better picture using iPhone 4 to take them.

                                Hi, thanks for helping.

The motherboard is from a gaming laptop, msi gf65 thin 10ue, 16W21/11S.

For starters, it doesn't power on. I measured a "short" on the second DC-IN mosfet, right around the charging port but I don't know how to find the component that's shorting it.

I already tried checking the mosfet for internal shortage (by desoldering and measuring) but no short. The drain on the motherboard is the one that's shorted, next to the gate (that's not shorted).
The photo below shows this better than words.

                                Thanks for anyone...

Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. I am Repairing this unit. It had many problems. One major one was the power transformer being about 4-5 volts low on the main B+ line which called for 66.5 Vols after the Main Filter caps but only showing about 62 Volts. Caps and the 5 amp Diode bridge were replaced which helped slightly.

The other strange problem was the small secondary winding from the PT which supplies 18 Volts AC to the "FM FLUORESCENT DISPLAY" circuit, and the small winding that supplies 8 Volts AC to the push button grain of wheat lamps. Those voltages were down from 18 Volts to 16 volts. Which was...

                                Hello to all =D
I would like to start this card again for my little brother.

                                Symptoms :
No power on , no rgb led , black screen , no rotating fan.

What I found before disassembly a 22uF capacitor on the +VDDCI line was loose. Before powering up and checking if the component was missing, the capacitor was replaced.

                                Then powering up
                                +12V ok
                                +5 Volts ok
                                +1.5 V ok
                                + 0.90 ok

                                What I found abnormal :
-No 0 Volt on the +VDDC line...
