So I have this 42" viore lcd tv. Its works great for about an hour and shuts off on its own. Try to tuen it back on and it brings the logo up and shuts back off when it dose this the screen looks a little dark in the corners too. Im assuming something is over heating and causeing it to shut down. Once it cools down the tv will work again about an hour. I have opened it up removed the power board and have tested all the caps with a peak atlas esr meter and all good. There are about 4 transistors on 2 sepret heat sinks im hoping these might be the problem just waiting for a transistor tester in the mail. Anyone have any ideas what to look for or a possible fix for this?

Re: viore LED42VF80 flat screen tv shuts off after about a hour
Suggest you put it back together and switch it on - heat each board in turn gently with a hairdryer and if it is heat related the set should switch off sooner.
When you have the board try and narrow the problem down to a component.
Check thoroughly for bad solder jointsPlease upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

It just shut off again by itself I think its a transistor one of them thats by itself on a heatsink after the tv shut off I felt the heatsink and its extremely hot compaired to another heatsink that has 3 transistors on it and it didnt feel to hot at all.Comment

Re: viore LED42VF80 flat screen tv shuts off after about a hour
Whatever is going on though its messing with what makes the screen light up. There are four plugs on the power board which run to the screen to power it on. Of u unplug one at a time u see a different corner of the screen is dark. Well after this darn thing shuts off on its own and u try to turn it back on the bottom left corner of the screen looks dark the tv shows the viore logo and shuts back off. Once it all cools down it powers on fine and the screen looks okComment

Re: viore LED42VF80 flat screen tv shuts off after about a hour
I Have changed this - didnt realise it was LED Doh
It sounds as though there may be a faulty wiring connection to the bottom left hand bulb. Also if they will reach swap over a pair of wires and see if the fault moves. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: viore LED42VF80 flat screen tv shuts off after about a hour
Dead unit even with a new power supply, We have found that the problem is inside the LED panel, To be more specific the red B+ wire on the led strips is touching the aluminum ground plane on one or more LED strips, To verify without taking the panel apart just disconnect the 4 sockets and measure for a short across the pins, If shorted then the problem is inside the panel.
Reason of failure is the close manufacturing tolerances, The Plexiglas reflector is to big and the corners right on the top of the solder connections are pushing against the red B+ wire on the left and right strips thus creating a short.Comment

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by SarcasticOPGreetings,
I have an iPad Pro 12.9" 6th gen tablet that had a screen replaced about 10 months ago at a repair shop and last week the screen went blank during use. The device was still on, notifications played sound for example. I have replaced the screen twice, both screens are working until I unplug it, at which point I can see that screen is on but is all black. If I press the power button, the backlight goes off, and when I press it again, the image appears for half a second and then the screen goes back to being black but on. This issue is not present at all when the iPad...10-24-2024, 11:55 AM -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... -
by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by spice_discI'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.
The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...1 Photo - Loading...
