I've attached a photo of what my screen looks like. I've pulled it apart and don't see anything obvious like blown caps or loose connections. It's a Hitachi 40" LCD model number, L40C205. Basically shows a red and blue tint like a 3D TV that's not. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
I have tried re-seating the cable to the T-CON but not from the T-Con to the Panel, the T-Con is at the very top and kinda of hidden. I will take it apart again and try that, and get the make of the Panel itself. Thanks for the help!Comment

Did the fault occur suddenly or slowly get worse? Is it always present or only there after warming up?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
Well if it happened suddenly, it could be a corrupted EEPROM setting.
As this isn't a real Hitachi inside (just a rebadge) it is necessary to determine the service menu procedure.
I would try the following, on the remote
SOURCE/INPUT 2850
SOURCE/INPUT 2580
and any others here
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24809
to see if you can locate a reset option.
I notice main board is made by AoH(?) which may give clue to the service access code. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
So one of those sequences enters the service/factory mode?
Note: factory reset from user menu is NOT the same. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
All of the buttons will be on the remote. Press in sequence rapidly. However, I cannot guarantee it will work. One other possibility:

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
I can't offer many other suggestions unless anyone knows the service menu code for this. You can try (and this might not work) asking Hitachi. However they might only tell you if you are a TV technician. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
I've been digging around the Internet and can't find much, it is rebranded, parts from all manufacturers. I'll try again this weekend, busy work week. Most Hitachi codes or resets are from several years ago. Thanks again for all the help!!Comment

Re: Hitachi 40" LCD L40C205
I suspect while it is a rebadge, it is custom for Hitachi, i.e. custom main board or at least part#.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by dragometinTV Model: Hitachi 40HYC42
Power Supply: 17IPS71
MainBoard: 17MB95M
Panel: VES400UNDS-2D-NO3
When the set came in it was dead. Fuse was open primary side and the power mosfet was shorted. So I ordered a new power supply. Now it turns on, only displays "Hitachi" and then power off red and blue led flashing.
I had to modify the 0ohm resistors in the led backlight of the new PS like the original power supply.
Is there any variants on 17IPS71 power supply's?

by sotodefonkHi, I have a Hitachi tv model L47V651, there is no image, but sound and backlights turn on, so I believe the issue is the tcon board.
I opened the tv to access the board and took the shared pictures of the T-Con board.
I saw a video from shopjimmy on how to detect the model number on tcon boards, but this doesn't have a sticker like how that video showed all boards.
I searched the P/N number and got results with the same marking name and P/N my board has but they list other specific tv models like Vizio and Philips brand but not Hitachi.

by dicky96Hi Guys
I have a customer who has two Hitachi TVs in his bar, one is the model in the thread title and the other is a larger screen but has the same setup menu
He also has an LG TV, so three screens in the bar
I installed three Satlink ST-6503 DVB-T Modulators
This model https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32916553905.html
These connect to three satellite receivers via HDMI cables and then connect to a 4 way RF Amp that connects to the TVs on aerial cable. There is no incoming terrestrial antenna. I set the channel ID on the modulators to... - Loading...
