Re: Matsui 42 inch LCD stuck on standby Blue light
I have been caught out with this a few times over the years , on some sets usually Panasonic and Phillips , if the set is switched off with the remote you have to switch it back on with the remote, this is assuming the child lock has not already been activated.

Re: Matsui 42 inch LCD stuck on standby Blue light
new board could be faulty as well just found this worth a check.
17PW16-2. Also used in TV's by Sanyo, Bush, Hitachi, Vestel.
Fault symptoms: Stuck in standby, main supply will not start up, no backlight.
Solution: Found rectifier diode short circuit: D866 on the (unused on mine) 30v supply. 3A rectifier. Was loading the supply and caused shut down.
also found this
TV is no longer stuck in standby.
A combination of stupidity and nearly dead remote batteries. DUH!
Seems with this TV turning it on at the switch on the TV always puts it into standby, you then have to power it up with the remote..
I have just spent 3 hours going round in circles checking voltages on a acoustic solutions lcd42761f1080p. I had no remote and bought it as faulty for £20. After reading this i tried the rc1205 i have for my hitachi and it came on staright away. How strange that the side button wont turn the set on. Do you think it is a fault with the set or is this by design?Leave a comment:

Re: Matsui 42 inch LCD stuck on standby Blue light
well i would for a start test all voltages on the connectors and see which you and whats missing write a list ie conn 1 pin 1 5volt- reads 5.3 volt etc then we should be able to work out if its a psu fault or mainboard faultLeave a comment:

Re: Matsui 42 inch LCD stuck on standby Blue light
Just tried the remote, Also no joy.. Could the main board cause this kind of fault or is it definately a bad psu. I have the old one to possibly take parts from to repair it but the thing is i paid for a working board so shouldn't have to, if its definately that at fault i will return it and buy another.. :-)Leave a comment:

Re: Matsui 42 inch LCD stuck on standby Blue light
Ok.
Check for continuity between the red points.
Check Diode at blue points.
Check each resistor at purple points... These should all be 1M ohm
EDIT *** forgot to add image lol, Check next postLeave a comment:

Use wick and solder sucker to take that off, not hot air.Leave a comment:

Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... -
by TomyleeHi everyone, I have a Nintendo 2DS XL that shows the orange charging light when plugged in, but nothing happens when I press the power button — no blue light, no screen, no sound.
Here's what I've observed:
All ribbon cables are properly connected
Battery is present and in good condition
No reaction even with screens disconnected
There's a visible burn mark / overheating sign on the metal shield, right above the CPU
I’m suspecting an issue with the CPU, PMIC, NAND, or a power...3 Photos -
by Ady2017The problem with my TV is very similar to an earlier post but there was no final solution posted.
When the TV is first turned on from cold it will not turn on. The red standby light begins pulsing and a high pitch whine is heard. The back light remains off. If the TV is left trying to boot like this and then turned off and on again a few times then eventually it will turn on and sit there working all day long.
I initially suspected the PSU after spotting this kit for sale,

by brithepi2kHi,
I’ve got a Sony KD-65XE8596 here that has no standby light coming on. I’ve tested the power board with the test meter, the TV needs 3.4 for the standby but only getting 2.4. Anything that I can change/check on the board to get it working? Pictures of the board are included.
cheers...5 Photos -

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r... - Loading...
