Well I replaced the mosfet but still no joy. I've measured voltage on all the caps and have 3.3v 5v 12v and 20v. I've also plugged the monitor into my laptop and it picks it up as a z35p bit no change at all.
From some reading I've done I've seen quite a few z35p showing the same issue and I think it's probably being caused by a faulty G-sync module. When I power the monitor up the 2 leds on the G-sync module flash on and off very briefly. It seems that these G-sync modules run quite hot and fail. I did find someone who has a issue on a differet monitor with a G-sync module and...

Acer predator z35p no display
I have a acer predator z35p just went off while in use.
I have a blue power led but no response when plugging in a source.
When It powers up I get 2 leds on the gsync pcb that flash on and off within a second of the power being plugged in. I can measure 20v at various plugs including the led driver board plug. No voltage on the tcon board.
I found a mosfet 6679gh was shorted from drain to source on the main board so I removed it and tested out of circuit and it was still shorted from drain to source so I will replace it. It's a little bit strange though as the...5 Photos

29.4v Chinese li-ion charger
This charger arrived today for my ebike.
I had to wire a new bms into the battery pack first as the original giant bms wouldn't work with a generic charger.
Anyhow I plugged in the charger after connecting the battery and it charged fine.
I noticed that once it finished charging the the status led on the charger stayed lit green even when the mains power was disconnected.
I connected it back the mains and there was a loud bang. Charger has blown up
I've contacted the seller on ebay, I just want your thoughts on the charger...

Re: Giant ebike li-ion charger
OK so new mosfet arrived.
It lasted approx 5 seconds and now I have a hole where ic 101 used to be.
I've been Trying to find one online but without success luckily I have a half decent photo of the part number but have been unable to find the exact part number so at the moment I'm stuck.
Does anyone have any ideas?...

Re: Giant ebike li-ion charger
Minimum order for the new mosfet was 5 from rs so I have spares. The meter I'm using is a hantec 2c72 in dmm mode. It is also a occiloscope work bought them for us however I've never used it as a scope I I'm worried about doing more damage to the board by probing the wrong parts
I will have to do some more learning I think

Re: Giant ebike li-ion charger
I'm not sure how to test the ic101.
I've tested
R108 ok
R106 ok
R105 ok
R103 and 104 ok
D102 ok
Not sure how to test the ferrite bead
But measuring no resistance across the 2 pins
Checking r112 it measures 0.5 ohms
The calculator says it should either be 0.1 ohm or 0.2 ohm depending whether or not the first band is red or brown I think it is red personally but not 100% sure. Tolerance is stated as 5% so it should be between 0.19 and 0.21 do you think...

Re: Giant ebike li-ion charger
Yes found the mosfet is shorted across all 3 terminals out of circuit. With it removed the fuse doesn't blow and I get 330v dx accros the big capacitor. I've ordered the mosfet and will give it a try.

Giant ebike li-ion charger
29.2 volt li-ion charger
Has mains input but no dc output
2.5 glass fuse on primary side was blown
I had to solder on a removable fuse holder
Then installed a 2.a fuse to test but in instantly blew again.
I've removed the heat sink so I could take a better picture.
Any ideas what I should test?...

Lg 60uj630v led problem
Just picked this tv up. The whole screen has a blue tint and on a white background it's very patchy with darker and lighter spots. Does this look like dodgy leds?...

Pioneer lx5090 Hotel mode?
Does anybody know if these panels have a hotel mode or a way in the service menu to restrict the maximum volume? Our son is special needs and he loves turning the volume up to max and its pretty loud.
On our old LG I put it in hotel mode and locked the volume to a lower level but I've not been able to find info on how to do it on our plasma.
Should say I'm using the pioneer sound bar pdp-s63 wired on the on board speaker connections. Cheers

Re: Induction hob power board
Ok thanks, i think it has been hot and discoloured slightly i would say that the 2 first are orange then black and gold which makes it 33 ohm. Thanks

Re: Pioneer pdp-427xd panel hours?
Well the p count that i presume is power on times is over 5000. Is p count power on times? Its a shame really. Paid £10.50 for it cause they thought the hdmi ports were broken but they were just turned off in the menu.
They didnt mention the light 4 inch scratch right down the center of the screen. Ill see if i can polish it out or something but if not ill probably end up stripping it.

Re: Pioneer pdp-427xd panel hours?
Turn tv on to analogue tv channel by pressing number button ie number 2. Then press standby. Then quickly before it clicks press info. Then after it clicks press left up left right standby. Worked first time for me
