If it does not change state when it is grounded or when 3.3V is applied, then I do not why it does not change. I will have to try that on other panel to see if it will do anything. I have no idea right now.

What I'm saying, that maybe it is grounded from the factory and it's no point for me to apply 3.3V to that point.

If it is grounded from the factory, then the resistance reading between pin 6 and ground should show <1 Ohm then.

I have just measured it and it's 0.764KOhm.

I have removed the resistor, thinking that maybe it wasn't touching only pin #6 and tried with a needle and I have seen some kind of flipping of the screen, basically something was going on at the center of the screen. The flipped menu items were on both sides of the screen, course one side it was flipped.
I will give it another go at it, tomorrow.

Bud, you think that this switch(0V to 3.3V) has to be done before the TV turns on, or it can be done while it is on?

OK Bud, I have managed to switch the position and it works great with a 1K resistor and with the power supply.
Now, there are at least two points where I have measured 3.3V on the T_Con board. I have used one of them, it's a pretty big SMD diode, I have wired directly to that point and it didn't like it, it was vibrating.
Then, I have installed the 1K resistor and the screen is not flipping this way.
                What am I doing wrong?

I have soldered the wire directly to the second spot, which looks like a regulator or FET and it works great.
The question is, I can leave it like this, or it needs some resistor?

LG TV have bad solder on the main board, This is my trick for many mainboard problems.
Place the main board in a preheat oven at 385 degrees for 10 mins. Turn off the oven and open the door a bit to let the oven and board cool. Then re-install the main and see if you issues are solved. I have been about 75% sucessful. ( What you have accomplised is a solder reflow of the main board. Good luck.

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Not all TVs can handle surround sound on a HDMI input
                      by japlytic
With a home theatre PC connected to a TV via HDMI, Windows reveals that the TV only supports stereo sound even though the TV has a HDMI ARC connection to an AV receiver which is powered on; I also had an issue that the AV receiver does not always retain the input setting for routing the HTPC video through to the TV in standby.
So I connected a second HDMI cable to the HTPC and set it to duplicate the video outputs, but I had random audio dropouts when playing content with surround sound being passed to the AV receiver (dropouts did not occur when I replayed the content where it dropped...

                      Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Marantz SR4003 AVR HDMI board issue, seeking for help
                      by aliougm
I have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted, see attached picture.

                      Connection as below:
                      Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port
If I bypassed AVR then HDTV screen color be good.

I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
                      3 HDMI input port > SIL9185 chip(HDMI switch) > SIL9033 chip(HDMI receiver) > SIL9030 chip(HDMI transmitter) > HDMI output port

                      I replaced all...
