    32" sceptre x322bv w/ psu mp116a

My tv turns on and displays the brand name momentarily and then fades out and disappears; back lights stay on, on/off indicator light stays on and remains blue (this light is orange on standby). I have checked the voltages on the power supply; All the 24V pins are 23.3V. the 12V pin is 11.9V.

Connector 2 has some voltages that deviate from expectation. in the second attached picture Con2 is at the far left (all stranded pink). I will list pin voltages left to right: 0, 0, 5, open, 4.5, 5, 5, 5, 0, open, open, open, 11.9. counting from left to right, pin 5 SHOULD be 5V and pin 9 should be 5v.

Please advise as to what may be the problem.

looking on the back of the power supply I discovered what I'm calling pin 9 is actually labeled a ground not 5V; so now the only thing that seems to be wrong is pin 5, which is labeled PSON and has a voltage of 4.5. I've read that PSON is either 3.5V or 5V; I wonder if 4.5V is an issue.

" All the 24V pins are 23.3V. the 12V pin is 11.9V" PS_ON is fine otherwise you will not have the 24v and the 12v.
You need to check and see if the voltage to the T-CON board is present.

        Re: 32" sceptre x322bv w/ psu mp116a

I too have a sceptre 32" tv that is not working. I'm unable to start a new thread yet so I'll just hang here for a few post's.
My TV is X320BV-HD. The psu is also a Megmeet MP116 RVE:1.4 which makes me believe that my psu is a newer version than the one picture you posted, looks like yours is a 1.0.

My TV powers up (blue light)to the startup screen and then clicks off, but when it does so the standby light is lit(red) unlike yours. After it shuts off a few moments later I hear another click... almost like a reset?

I found two CAP's that show failure(bulge), at the row of 4 in a line. I'm planning on replacing all four in that line. They are close to that heat sink.

Any thoughts? Again I do plan on starting a new thread but for some reason I'm unable to do so right now.
