So, is there anyway I can prove if it is the Tcon or panel that is the issue (without having to buy replacement parts which it or may not require)? -

Okay, my mistake been out of the loop didn't realise that TFT is no longer not the same as LCD, apart from that how can I prove if it is the LCD screen or Tcon board causing this issue?Leave a comment:

Panasonic Tx-40cx400b top left half screen not displaying correct
Hi,
Trying to work out if this is TFT problem or TCon issue.
The TV powers up but the top half of the screen, from the right it is OK, but as you look across to the left halfway across it starts get duller and duller until it is very dark on the lefthand side, currently I trying to clean the remote as it seems to have something film wise on the pads stopping it from registering buttons pressed.
Also when changing the screen size of Windows PC display to say to a smaller pixel sizewindow, the original window displayin the top left stays/takes a few seconds to disappear?... -

The problem being is the pictures I have (before R123 blew) are not clear enough (typical as I can read quite a few others) and as we know Vestal schematics rarely match real life

Hi,
Please can someone confirm the two components part numbers on this board, since the Vestal schematic doesn't seem to match the components actually used.
The OHM for Resistor R129 (connected to FAN7529 CS pin) and U300 IC?

I believe the 07 is a red herring as it is just printed on at PCB board manufacturer and the 23270172 is the important bit (number of led strings/3v3 stuff etc

Hi, Please can you tell me did the resistors still have 'odd' reading when back in place?
"I removed R817, R818, R819 (all in series) due to having odd readings when in place. Off the board they measured correctly at 619K each. Cleaned up the pads on the board and resoldered the resistors back in place"Leave a comment:
