What is getting me is that, we know the inverter is putting out the high voltage since you did have burnt wire when the HV connector was not seated properly, so I expect ypu to the see the backlights to flash on then goes in to shutdown due to error.

I agree. I posted the youtube video to show I don't even get the slightest flicker out of them. What gets me even more is I can hook the power supply/inverter directly to a test bulb and it will turn it on.

Don't have a lot of experience under my belt with these but is it possible that the power supply/inverter isn't capable of supplying the current needed for all of the bulbs?

Even that it will at least try once then if the power supply droops down then it stops.

SATTECH200...did you resolve this issue?? I have the same problem...connector arced and burnt connector. With HV wires not connected the on (blue) light remained on. All voltages COLD side are good 5,12,24vdc. Took HV transformers off to test, replaced connector, replaced the 2-5pico farad caps...plugged it in.. now it seems no HV voltage available at connector. With the voltage seen on this thread. I'm going to double check all voltages. Hope to hear you had some success.

            Not yet unfortunately

I did replace the balancer board and that had no change of the issue. I suspect that one of the transformers on the power supply is weak and plan to replace the power supply next. I really hate swap testing components like this but after spending A LOT of time researching the issue I just keep hitting a brick wall for information. Just not sure what to think at the moment.

Waiting on some extra money to order one at this time.

Thanks for the response...I've been working on this Proscan for about a week (off and on). Just put it back together this afternoon...turned it on red (stby) to blue (on) but no image. I did go back and check the HV filter measured 386VDC and noticed that the backlight hit for about 2secs then off...but unit didn't go to stby. Going to measure the readings at balancer board. Thanks will post what I find.

You may have bad lamps in the LCD panel

I've started troubleshooting power supply but would really like to know what IC U2 is. Half the numbers are scratched off. I've used a couple different magnifying glasses and can only make out.

                  SE6...

I've checked voltages at U1 (Inverter IC, OB3316QP) and all look good from what I can tell (based on my limited knowledge and experience) according to the datasheet I found here EXCEPT for the VS, I'm not clear on what that should be from the datasheet.

One thing that keeps sticking in my head is that I haven't been able to identify any fuses on any boards of this set outside of the glass one on the main input.

Attached Pics are the backside of the power supply board RE46AY2502, AYL400203. I can try to get clearer pics if that will help any.

Any and all thoughts, comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
                  Thank you.

Was there any update on this? I just got one of these TV's and when I plug it in I only get a blue light.
