Ok I received the main board from martino
I installed it and I get a title screen but I am still having some issues and I do not know if they are related to the main board

It takes about 20-30 seconds for the screen to power on once I push the power button on the tv or the remote

Once the screen is on I click the menu button and the menu comes on
After a few seconds the response time for any selection takes long

I can either push the button on the tv or remote and it will take about 5-10 seconds before the tv does anything like show the menu screen, volume bar, scrolling selection, etc.

If I push the buttons one after another its like the tv is confused and doesnt know what to do
It starts to go back and forth to each option I selected extremely slow

Hopefully I making sense
I dont kniw if this is a main board issue or a tcon board issue

Suggestions please

Also there was no start up sound
Right now I was able to start auto program so I will know if the sound works or not

It seems like you have a main board issue - possible compatibility problem. I wonder if a firmware update might help. Also, the Sony TVs I worked on didn't have a start-up chime.

Board came out of a tv with a broken screen. As far as screen allowed me it went through all functions fine.
Compatable in the sense of the t-con etc?
I could send all other boards too if he likes?
I would like to help Jose get this thing going.

Here is the update

I left the tv on for a few hours
It found a crap load of channels and it seems to respond fine to the remote with no hesitation

I guess it needed to warm up
So I shut off so it would cool down for an hour plus I have the ac on
I powered it back on and it is still responding well to the remote comands

I am going to let it sit over night and recheck tomorrow
Hopefully it needed to reprogram itself or something

But anyways the tv is working and picture is great
Im thinking about keeping

Nice, um, pic. LOL. I'd be curious to find out why the response lagged so much when you first installed the board.

I wonder if you unplug it completely for about an hour then try it again to see if the slow response will come back, otherwise, good picture, TV looks good too. LOL.

I did unplug it completely and let it sit for an hour in an air conditioned room.
I plugged it back in powered it on and it worked fine

Tomorrow will be the real test when I get home after work

ok so i powered up the tv after being unplugged for more than 12 hours

it still has a lag time of 10 seconds just for the screen to come on

also the response time for any command from the remote control is now down to 2-3 seconds compared to 8-12 seconds when i first installed the board
but this only happens when i dont have the cable (coax) connected

once the cable is connected the response time is almost instant

i guess i will check this one as a win

I have the same problem with this model Sony TV. However, the serial number is 1756743, which is very close to martino's tv (Canada) it doesn't belong to any ranges of mainboards sold in shopjimmy.com. Any idea if 1-857-092-11 can work on this serial number? Thanks.

I asked, but they did not recommend it, because the serial number is not in the ranges.

I had a similar issue with a 46S4100, and Shopjimmy couldn't help me. A seler with a favorable return policy would be your best bet.
