    Samsung LE26A457 Lcon Board.

Help, My Samsung TV suddenly decided to die on me.
After reading some of the posts, it would seem that other members have had the same problem of the dreaded flashing red LED and no picture. I checked and found that the backlight was on, so it would appear that the power board was okay as I could not see any bulged capacitors.
I did however find that the small 2 amp fuse on the Lcon board was blown and also a small inductance was also burnt up.
I purchased an identical board of ebay, and fitted this but on powering up, the very same inductance burnt up on the replacement board.
Not wanting to purchase yet another Lcon board and blow this one as well, My questions are: was this just a faulty board in the same manner as the original?
or is it a fault with another board or the screen itself.
I have not heard of the screen blowing the LCON board, but if anyone has any suggestions as where to go next I would be very grateful.

Sorry all about my earlier posting, it should read the TCON board and not the LCON board. ( Hanging my head in shame)

Any chance you can get some photos up of both sides of the PS board and the T-Con(LVDS).
Also do you have a multi meter to take some readings?

The LCD panel may have shorted out TFT Driver ICs which are mounted on the flexible circuit board between the LCD glass panel and the PCB.
        It looks something like this:http://s807.photobucket.com/user/bud...tml?sort=3&o=5

              Check panel manufacturer.
I reckon tab bonds - I've had a few like this - they're pretty easy to fix. (Done four so far.)

Hmm, usually ChiMei V260B1 with this fault. You can try the tabs, but no experience myself with this AUO panel. Could also be GAMMA fault, that is common with AUO. Can you post a pic of T-con?

Another one with AS15G Gamma voltage ref. IC in AUOPTO T-CON.

Was going to say check gamma voltages but can't see all of them there. Check what you can from VGAMA1 thru VGAMA12. Odd(?)

From a quick look at what's available, it's bad. So replace AS15 or t-con.

Ok then board arrived and fitted colours seem really bright but the strangest thing is I can see the menu on the screen still, seems to be a slight delay

Check those gamma volts again - there is a chance the board you got is bad.

                                          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

                                          Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

                                          Anybody...
