Re: Emerson lc407em1 Turns on screen only flashes, then off
I am curious weather the ccfl's or inverter might be the cause since the screen flickers on the off 1 time when powered on near the center. I should also note that the person I received this tv from said it was damaged in a lighning stormComment

Re: Emerson lc407em1 Turns on screen only flashes, then off
been a long while. just pulled this tv out from the basement again. I would love to get it working. I do not seem to have 345v (yes i do, disregard this)***EDITED) that i am supposed to. tv powers on, blinks green 15 times (as before, still the same), then powers off. Any help would be so appreciated.

Re: Emerson lc407em1 Turns on screen only flashes, then off
Ok, so i have resurrected this thread. I still have this tv, same problem, never fixed yet. All voltages seem to be good on the power supply, my previous comment of missing 345v was in error, its there still. A couple voltages seem to be a couple volts higher maybe, but they all seem to be present. I am tempted at this point to order a used mainboard off ebay and give it go. does anyone have any input on anything I might check before doing so? I would like to power this supply on with the mainboard disconnected, but this particular mainboard has 2 cables coming from the supply, and both seem to be necessary for powering on with backlight operating and such. Any advice or guidance greatly appreciated.Comment

It would be useful to say HOW you fixed it, for others in future. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Replaced digital mainboard, no luck. Replaced inverter board, success. Fooled me because I would have thought TV would have stayed powered on with inverter removed from the circuit.Comment

Re: Emerson lc407em1 Turns on screen only flashes, then off
Hi, I am new to these forums, I have repaired several tv's , Just wanted to see if I could get some help on this one. The powerboard (and other boards) have no visible bad caps. Power seems ok at any marked voltage points on the power board. The inverter visibly looks ok too. When power is pressed the green light comes on, flashes 15 times, then back to red. I was thinking the problem is possibly the inverted since the screen just flashes very briefly then off like a second later. but If I unplug the inverter from the circuit, the TV still flashes green 15 times green then off. does this mean its not the inverter, or the tv is going into protection mode again without it?
And insight or help I would so much appreciate. I can post any pictures if need be. Thanks, RogerComment

by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... -
by frannyjunkSo I have this Hisense tv where the backlight does not come on. But when it is turned on, when I shine a flashlight on the screen, I can clearly see the splash screen then it turns off. I looked at the mainboard and was expecting to see bulged capacitors, but they all look fine. I unplugged the backlight from the mainboard, and get the same symptoms (i.e. no backlight, dark splash screen then just a black screen). Is this just a backlight issues? Do Hisense tvs turn off by itself if the backlights are unplugged or are bad? Or is this a mainboard issue?
TIA. -
by JunkmanJimboSamsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
Please help. Thanks in advance! -
by Rav_tangleHi all , thanks for having me & I think this has been asked before but my case seems a bit odd.
I have a MacBook Pro , board 820-2915a and it turns on , chimes etc etc , keyboard lights up, fans spins , can turn caps lock on/off but screen is dead.
Iv tried the resets , shine torch through back logo , nothing , it seems the screen has no power. If I plug charger , it charges but if I disconnect battery it displays green light but won't turn on. Iv tried screen on with another board & it works & seems I'm not getting any voltage at pin 2 , next to ground pin .

by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM - Loading...
