Thanks for your reply, the soldering was fine, I re-soldered it with another spare AS15 I had, but the the red vertical bars on the left still remain, so as you say its something else.. I'm not sure what went wrong there..

My T-CON board has the part number V315B1-C08 / 35-D024983.
I was able to locate the board on Aliexpress, and a vendor seems to provide whats called an 'Alternative Generic' , I'm wondering if its compatible with my board...

Hey,

As an update, the 'Alternative Generic' V315B1-C07 board did not work. Please don't be fooled by vendors selling this board as an alternative for the C08 board.
I again went ahead and purchased the V315B1-C08 board and that has fixed the problem

Hi guys! I'm new here! Can you guys help me? I have the problem with my Sony Bravia KDL-40Z4100. This just happen yesterday with white haze screen. I have some picture parts of my Sony KDL-40Z4100. Which one is T-Con Board that make white haze screen? So that I can fix the problem. Thanks

Also, when you see the board that has the pink things, I saw those on already when I open it. I think they are the cover.

1st one. AS15 may be under one of the pink paddings, if present on the board.

thax. Here is the another picture of the part that has the pink paddings after I took them out. There are 4 numbers that I use from Photobucket. Which one is AS15 on T-Con Board that make white haze screen.

there is another IC under the PINK thermal pad to the right of #3 IC.

Do I need to take them all out? I think those are for stick the metal protector thing on top of T-Con board

This is what happen to my TV. Barely see the words at the bottom right and top left (word HDMI 2).

Those are Thermal transfer pads to transfer the heat to the metal shield, just make sure to put them all back in place.
By the way, do you have proper tools for SMD repair?

What are the tools do I need to repair SMD? I just take the picture of all TV parts

Thx. about buy new T-CON board. I'm completely lost with that. Because when check some website that sell that T-CON board, it's out of stock. Can you help me find the best online store to buy T-CON board for KDL-40Z4100 with number 55.40T02.C06?

I can only find one priced at nearly $200. So the only solution may be finding someone competent to replace the AS15G.

You need the get the number as printed on the board (that number is the P/N for the BLANK CIRCUIT BOARD, no parts installed), then the numbers as printed on the BARCODE, the will be the P/N of the circuit board assembly (board with parts stuffed into the board), that number on the barcode are the one you need to match.
The same blank board can be stuffed many ways for the required assembies they need to make.
Man, it is EXPENSIVE!

Hello guys,

I have a Sony Bravia LCT TV model KLV-37M400A.

It started to show strange colours at image, like the 2 images attached. I made a video too. You can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15-ilEoqPrQ

When I turn the TV on, it shows the correct image for just about 1 or 2 seconds. After that this strange colours starts to appear.

Do you know which part of TV can be broken ? What kind of test should I do to prove this ? I just have a multimeter.

I would say the T-CON board, check the Gamma voltages.

Looks like LVDS/format fault, possibly main board. Maybe a little too sharp to be gamma. Hard to tell. Voltages will tell you where fault is.
