have just done that, rebooted tv and its now loading the USB drive now... (can see the USB light flashing) so getting further than before.
ill leave it for a while and confirm if its resolved it....

Sony KD-55X8509C white flashing/pulsing LED
I was asked to look at a Sony KD-55X8509C as it was not powering on, no lights.
On inspection, there was no physical issues.
I seated all cables and repowered the TV, then the LED light flashed Green / Amber.
- this seems to indicate repairing required, done by Firmware update.
so downloaded the latest Firmware from Sony website and wrote to 4Gb USB drive.
Inserted the drive and repowered the TV.
LED changed to white flashing/pulsing ... and it sat there for over an hour.
i was unsure what was happening so repowered the TV and now it just... -
Vestel VES550QNUS-2D Panel issue.
i just spent quite a few hours trying almost everything i could find out to check why this panel wasnt working.
MB was detecting a fault and going into fault mode.
i could se the AVDD go high for a second then drop to off.
check all CAPs and diodes on bottom buffer boards.
in the end i gave up and removed the panel, only to find burnt tracks on the cof tab..
i learnt a lot in the process, but wont go doing all those checks first next time.
so word of advice... if your panel is suspect, save youself a few hours and check... -

ok, photos attached.
2x of main board with LVDC connector - no markings i can identify any volatages to check.
2x of left board - this is connected and TV powers on, optical port on MB lights up constant, remote works, but no sound or picture.
4x of right board, this connects to leftboard, and when connected the TV reboots every 10 seconds. - can see the MB optical light and backlights power cycle.
ive checked the cof tabs, cant see anything visually wrong, no burns or damage.

Hi, i have same symtoms on similar unit.
will the tape method still work with this integrated TCON, i dont see any CLK lines i can tape off on the LVDS connector and all TCON / buffer board connections to panel are bonded type.
looks like my only option to cut CLK is to physically cut the copper tracks on the board to try and identify if there is a panel short issue.
like the OP ive checked shorted Capacitors, have found some black resistors...Leave a comment:

if i disconnect the LVDS cable the set boots and doesnt reboot. (optical port LED stays on continuous).
if i reconnect the main LVDS cable, but then disconnect the right (view from the rearview) side buffer board from the left buffer board. the set still boots.
ive checked all caps on the buffer boards, cant find any shorts.
no signs of panel damage and COF cables look fine.
i was looking for 12v or 24v on the buffer board, but cant find anything - which led me back to the MB.

I picked up this Samsung 50" QLED, QE50Q50TUA.
MB is BN41-02756C.
PB is BN44-01058A
no dedicated TCON - its on MB.
fault symptoms are:
TV powers on, Backlights come on, no picture, then restarts and repeats.
Power from PB to MB is good, 13V is present as detailed on the PB board diag info.
i can find some 1.3v and 3v power on the MB, but nothing higher.
there is no VGH on the buffer boards, again some 1.5v and 3v, nothing higher.
found this SMD device (diode ?) which doesnt register on ESR/cap/diode tester,...Last edited by stav242; 02-18-2023, 07:59 AM. -

OK, so ive got it working.
searching through the forums, i saw some other LGs with IC100 reflow fixes... so as ive nothing to loose i thought i would try it.

so lifted up the white heatsink and loaded it up with flux paste round the IC edges (only 3 of them as i the heatsink/shield was obstructing one side) - then used hotair tool set at 450C and melted the flux for a minute around the edges.

Traced the DRV_ON pin, labelled, following a schematic i found on this forum for the 55UB850V, that pin is labelled INV_CTL, connects to R2309, and then to an IC on the bottom left of the board, IC3000 to pin19.
Looks like IC3000 = R5F100GEAFB in a 48 pin package.
IC seems ok, has 3.5v but doesnt seem to be activating the DRV_ON signal.
I tried freezing IC101 - no change.
got the backlights on jumping the DRV_ON,PWR_ON and 3.5v so seems to indicate Powerboard is working ok.

Hi,
I have a LG 49UB850V
Power PCB EAX65613901 (1.6)
Main Board EAX65684604 (1.0)
symptoms are:
Standby light illuminates when power connected but when Power button pressed, Standby goes off but no sound or picture.
Previous owner said it just went off whilst watching it and wouldnt power on again.
Check Backlights (side lit) and all good.
Power board flashes LED LD701 five times in sequence. - searches seem to indicate this is a fault with DRV signal from?

i have a BUSH DLED43IHDHDRS.
the MB - 17MB130S is not booting - it did once then wont boot again.
Suspect its the corrupt firmware issue.
Where can i find the correct firmware for this model ? -

I've made a wooden brace which ican adjust to fit the glass panel size , them use some decent blue tape (like decorators use) to stick this to the glass. Then can lift the panel fully supported off and stand on its edge. The wood brace is holding it off the surface slightly. Works well. Can swap the panel out quite easily.Leave a comment:

Hi,
i have a Samsung UE406445K, with BN94-10515S MB.
symptoms:
Tv starts, LED flashes 5 times. no backlights, no picture.
checks:
- have removed MB <> PB cable and backlights come on, LEDs and PB seems ok.
- LED flashes in response to remote buttons.
- have tried the shorting SDA+GND pins on the eeprom but no effect.
ive got a ch341 programmer, have desoldered and read the eeprom. (24C512C)
can anyone help check it / repair / or provide data to reprogram ? -

fixed it... used the timing file from your download for the 50" and the panel file from the backup i took before i started...
now its working retested onthe same youtube vidoes - all looking good now.
