It's pricey alright. If you can live with the dim bar, I'd just leave it as is. They just clip in but the LCD must come apart, very difficult.

Had to scan it on analog tv first, change language to sweden save settings. yea you would not pickup any stations on analog, so you can stop it as it starts to scan.
Then auto installation on DTV, sorted.

                I read it somewere.

Yeah, I just went around to customer's place to fix the TV's freeview (sold it to them about a month ago), but they were getting no channels. A simple FACTORY INIT (from service mode) sorted it in that case... these Sharp TVs seem to have odd problems with Freeview.

Re: Sharp LC32D44E-BK Stuck in standby mode

Yea tell me about it, when i replace the bridge on C7558, the tv wont come out of servive mode like i could of before, tv was saying No Signal?.

So i had to hold down vol+ input --> & power switch. Done the trick, took it out of service mode.

Tv work perfect, im going order the ccfl lamp sunday should reach me tuesday.

So i've going have more questions for you when it comes .

One thing to be concerned about is if the problem is not a failed bulb, you should check it by taking the panel apart first.

Yea i when back into service mode and check the lamp error it had
                        1b lamperror 00h 00m
                        1b lamperror 00h 00m
                        1b lamperror 00h 00m
                        1b lamperror 00h 00m
                        1b lamperror 00h 00m

Yea suppose you got a point about taking panel off. i try enjoy it for 24 hours first.

Lamp error can occur due to bad inverter connections and dirty screws too.

Ok didnt know that, but i can see that dimmish looking line going across the screen coz i know its there, but if not looking dont thing you notice it, maybe if a white screen was showing only.

                            yea i still check tho.

Ah yeah so the bulb is dead then, although it is possible it is just dirty or loose connection.

Yes... You can go into the service menu and select a test pattern. One of them is full white.

Its ok, i selected the correct ccfl this time, the dim line has gone, removed bridge on C7558, just the channels scrambled again. Many Many Thanx Tom66, This one has been fixed.

                                      Hiya
I'm Dan, self employed electronics tech from North Derbyshire. Do mostly TV's and Guitar amps. This is my first post.

I have one of these too, an LC32D44E. I have managed to keep it on by bridging C7558 0.47uF SMD cap. I also cleared the lamp error count on page 10/11 in the service mode. I looked at the screen on white screen and there are no dark bands but I did notice that when the TV has been off for a while and started from cold, the ccfl lamps come on very pink and gradually turn white. Could anyone tell me if this is a lamp or inverter fault. The TV has been well used, I wondered if all the lamps are passed their sell by date as it is a very uniform pink or whether the supply to the inverters is low.

                                      Dan.

Hope can be of help. Had couple of spare days last xmas, Repaired 3 of your model tv. All 3 turned out to be faulty panel only. One of them came on exactly as yours, pink to start, then white. Had spare psu and main boards, didn't need them. Also had spare tv I bought for 50 pounds. That came in usefull, had cracked screen, hence the price. Before you start spending money, check connetions etc. in the panel. The one with fault like yours was well used and dirty inside the panel. One tip, I ran chassis upside down with lamps exposed until I had nailed it. All 3 are now running, no backlight problems. Dan, I hope this is of some help.

The bulbs on these TVs normally run pink on start. They are very low mercury bulbs, due to environmental restrictions, but as such, have a shorter life. If the TV isn't flickering and there are no dim bars, I would leave it as is.

                                            Hello

I have an TV Led 4K Selecline 65s18 with mainboard T.MS3458.U801

The TV is faulty with stuck in Standby RED LED. Can't power the TV.

Before this problem , the TV stuck the picture with artefact , i unplug the AC cable and since the tv is stuck in standby .

All voltage are OK on PSU and main board for regulator. I tried flash firmware 25Q64 with many dumps

But the voltage on power button is 0.6V not 3.3V. When i press power button the voltage up to 0V. I tried to add 5V with Power Supply on 5V_STB and 3.3V on Power...

LG 32LB1R - stuck in standby mode

Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.

What could be the problem ? Thanks...

                                            Hi friends,

TV has stuck at - as I googled the term - color test mode. Slowly flashing colors white, red, green, blue, black, over and over again. I tried some hints from internet, like pressing some remote buttons, but nothing worked. I also tried factory reset for Sharp TVs => "while holding vol– & input buttons on tv plug in set when “k” appears push vol– & chan- " , but TV doesn't even start during buttons pressed.
So I decided to flash new firmware to SPI ROM. What do you say, would it help? If so, where can I find some dump? I was unable to find...

                                            Dear colleagues,
I've entered the repair of the chromebook machines just one month ago and I've found some significant differences from the classic laptops or macbooks, so I'm searching some advices.

The owner of this chromebook gave it to me after it has been left flooded by water for almost a week, so chances of repair were not so high, the mainboard was oxidyzed in many spots but I made a nice cleaning, resoldering and component replaging work and now it is almost working.

Among other things I've cleaned many spots from oxyds, reballed CPU, EMMC, EC, replaced...

                                            Hello,

I have a CFI-1215A PS5 (EDM-030 board) here that won't boot normally. It currently will immediately boot into Safe Mode upon power button press with a screen that says "Processing" and then a progress bar that usually begins around 75-84% and slowly climbs up to 99% where it will hang forever. The console will not ever escape past the 99% mark.

                                            Things I have tried:

                                            1. Tried force booting into Safe Mode by pressing and holding power button for 2 beeps so I could use a reinstallation USB, but the console still boots into Safe Mode with the...
