  • Re: Sharp LC32D44E-BK Stuck in standby mode

Cheers for the useful info. It is not flickering and looks good when warmed up but it is a repair for a customer so I can't send it back with C7558 shorted out to disable the fault detection, it may set fire to his house!...

Thanks for the help. Do you mean all 3 were faulty LCD panel and were fixed just by cleaning contacts on the tubes. I don't think mine has one faulty tube because the brightness is very uniform. If I have to replace the lot, the tubes alone would cost £22 * 10 = £220!...

    Hiya
I'm Dan, self employed electronics tech from North Derbyshire. Do mostly TV's and Guitar amps. This is my first post.

I have one of these too, an LC32D44E. I have managed to keep it on by bridging C7558 0.47uF SMD cap. I also cleared the lamp error count on page 10/11 in the service mode. I looked at the screen on white screen and there are no dark bands but I did notice that when the TV has been off for a while and started from cold, the ccfl lamps come on very pink and gradually turn white. Could anyone tell me...
