Hi!!!! Im new here with a question about a 55'' vizio. This is whats going on when i turn it on after a sometime, i get horizontal color pin stripes threw the picture...then it clears up after sometime and The picture remains clear after that. So what do you think it could be... t-con board about to go up? Any help would be grateful.

Do you get the problem on any other inputs (hdmi, component...)? Does the problem affect the menu , if you open the menu while the error is happening?Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.Comment

looks to me like the horizontal tab drivers are swaying.
as said ,does it affect the menu?if it does it could be the panel fault
try flexing the screen slightly if it alters the picture then that could confirm it
if the menu isnt affected it could be the t-con board
check voltage to t-con around 5v dc
check voltages from psu outputs against there respective legends written on psu
reseat lvds cable
any signs of visable bloating or leakage from any capacitors?fixed so far...376 lg lcd tv's,24 onn tv;s,24 panasonic lcd,16 jvc lcd,12 marshall jcm800 amps,refurb of various disco equipment lighting,old style disco decks ,and a flymo!

No problem with all other inputs except tv button a little. AV,COMP was good. HDMI 1 which i have hooked up is showing the problem when watching tv but i cycle threw the other 4 hdmi no problem, Menu looks fine. I have the back off all lights are lit board looked fine no bulging caps. When i twist the panel it doesn't clear up but it will go away after about a hour.Comment

No had it on hdmi 2 yesterday than i tryed it on 1 last night.... does the same thing, It doesn`t remain like that it will go away after sometime. All options with the remote work fine. When tv is off orange vizio light, when on white vizio light.Comment

I had it to my xbox and it was doing it. i came across this tv for nothing i took it apart and cleaned it out. is it possible when i took the connectors from the power supply that hook to the boards that turn on backlights criss crossed, forgive me im new at this and willing to learn. I got this tv for free and don't want to put more than i have to in it. I will post a pic how it is now.Comment

I have now way of testing the out puts but if i un plug the tv for a hour or more the lines will not come back for about 2 days. everthing else functions well, Do you think it can be a t-com board or the panel. The other day when the lines came up i swithed to another hdmi source which gave me the blue screen to see if the line showed up. They showed up following the signal up and down the screen thats it. I have directv so you know how the signal rotates all around the screen.....the lines follow that image thats it.Comment

Hello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.
When tv powers on vizio V logo shows nice on whole screen. picture 1

Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright... -
HI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.
Disconnecting left and right ribbons on... -
I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off.... -
Hi,
I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.
If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...
